Advocates from across Ohio came together today in Columbus to make their voices heard for the more than 236,200 Ohioans living with Alzheimer’s.
From powerful personal stories to direct conversations with lawmakers, Advocacy Day 2026 focused on what matters most: earlier diagnosis, stronger support for caregivers, and better dementia care statewide.
A key priority is the passage of House Bill 254 to launch a statewide public awareness campaign which would help more families recognize the signs of Alzheimer’s earlier and access the care they need. Advocates also pushed for enhanced dementia training for CNAs to strengthen the frontline workforce. Thank you to all who attended!
