A huge thank you to the Health Careers students at Lycoming Career & Technology Center for coming out and spending some time with the residents during an on site learning session at Wolf Run Village.

Purpose: To provide services to meet resident care needs under the supervision of the Nursing Director, and to assist in maintaining a positive physical and social environment for the residents.

Minimum eligibility Requirements:
• Successfully complete training as required by Wolf Run Village and in accordance with state regulations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, state officials, and general public.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
• Must be able to work full or part time on a regular schedule. And on call as needed.
• Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Must pass random drug screen.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid High School Diploma, GED, or CNA License.

Essential Job Functions:
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
• Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
• Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner. (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents’ families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors, and regulators.
• Answer phones appropriately, according to company and community standards.
• Communicate professionally and cooperate with supervisors and all community personnel.

Resident Rights
• Ensure compliance and understanding of all residents’ rights.

Medication Assistance
• Assist residents with care activities
• Supervise and assist with the storage, distribution, ordering and discontinuation of residents’ medications(s) as ordered by the residents' Physicians.
• Report observations to LPN, Assistant Administrator, or Executive Director.
• Immediately report any change in resident’s condition to the supervisor.
• Monitor vital signs as needed and /or required.
• Comply with the policies and procedures of Wolf Run Village LLC.
• Document medications and other issues appropriately as outlined in the Medication Administration Manuel and as taught in the Medication Training Sessions according to DHS regulations.
• Document other issues regarding resident care as necessary.
• Serve meals and assist in the dining room as needed.

Other General duties:
• Attend all required in –services trainings mandated by DHS and Wolf Run Village, LLC
• Promote and encourage residents to participate in activities.
• Conduct Activities according to schedule.
• Assist residents in cleaning their rooms at least once a week and as necessary.
• Assist residents with laundry weekly and as necessary.
• Follow and communicate company polices and procedures.
• This job description provides a framework for the job; other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

Working conditions (travel, hours, environment)
• Able to work full-time, with weekend work and holiday work included and overtime as needed.
• Will promote a positive work environment encouraging teamwork and harmony within the community.
• Will ensure continuum of care across all three shifts.

Physical/Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices)
• Medium work- Ability to exert 20 – 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 1-25 pounds of force frequently. And/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

OSHA
• Potential for exposure to blood borne pathogens.
• Potential for exposure to corrosive materials.

We will be opening up even more visitation on March 18th! Changes are in Bold print.

Same rules as before. Failure to follow any of the rules below will result in the end of your visit and possibly visitation privileges.
1. Visitation must be scheduled with the office personnel.
a. You may call 570-584-0101 Monday through Friday 8AM-4PM to reserve a 20-minute time slot.
b. Visiting hours are:
Daily: 8:30AM-11:30AM, 1:00PM-4:00PM & 6:00PM-8:00PM
c. Saturday and Sunday 9:00AM-11:30AM, 1:00PM-4:00PM & 6:00PM – 8:00PM
d. There will be only one visit scheduled at a time. You may choose from the two options below on where you would like to visit.
i. Indoor visitation will be just outside of the front office.
ii. Window visits using the Window in the living room.
2. Indoor visits - Residents will be brought to the indoor visitation area for their visit. The chairs must remain on the marks for social distancing. Masks must be worn. If the protocol is not followed the visit will be ended immediately. There will be a maximum of two visitors per visit.
3. Window Visits - Residents will be brought to the living room for their visit. There is a chair to the right of the front door for the visitor. The outside chair must remain behind the red line to maintain social distancing. Masks must be worn. The window may be opened. If the protocol is not followed the window will be closed to 3 inches.
4. Outdoor Visits – Will be permitted at the porches. (Resident on the porch and visitor(s) on the other side of the rail. It will be first come first served. Please maintain social distancing and wear a mask covering nose and mouth. Only one resident visit at a time. Please be courteous if others are waiting.
5. Residents with wander guards will be limited to indoor and window visits if masks and social distancing can be maintained.
6. The visitation schedule is restricted to one at a time. Please wait in your car until it is your turn to visit.
7. Masks are Mandatory on Wolf Run Village Property for all Residents that have been in the facility less than 14 days, Staff and Visitors. Masks are strongly suggested for Residents.
8. Social Distancing is required for us to be able to continue with these visitations.
9. Deliveries - You may leave a package with the resident’s name on it in the vestibule and we will deliver it to them.
10. Residents may go on Medically Necessary outings if the following is being maintained:
a. They must be tested twice in the two weeks following their return to the facility.
b. All of the above protocol listed for visitation must be followed.
c. Resident must be signed out and back in with responsible party listed.
d. Resident must follow the check in protocol on return to include, answering the questions posted, signing in, temperature check and using hand sanitizer on entry to the building.
e. Masks and social distancing are advised on return for 14 days or until appropriate testing can be completed.
f. The trip must be to the medically necessary appointment and back without detours for any other stops. IE, trips to the ice cream shop, Target, home to visit with other family members or a meal, etc. If this becomes an issue, WRV will transport the resident to the appointment and back at the resident’s expense.
11. We are allowing one designated person per resident. This is for ALL residents.
a. They may visit in the Resident’s Room and the courtyard closest to their room only.
b. These visits must follow the visitation hours listed above and do have to be scheduled for AM, Afternoon or PM. (We must limit the total number of visitors in the building at one time to maintain infection control procedures.)
c. The designated person must wear a mask for the entire visit.
d. The Designated Person must sign in and out at the table by the Nurse’s Station.
e. Covid-19 vaccination and testing are not required.
12. Any positive cases will immediately cause the facility to close again. If the county moves to yellow or red the facility will close. Reopening steps would start all over again after the county goes green and the facility is cleared of all Covid cases.
