My husband and I just went out to compare mattresses with the intention of comparison shopping at a couple of stores. We had no intention of purchasing at that time. Our intentions were to start in Webster at another mattress company (we had 3 we wanted to visit) and work our way back towards home. We stopped at Mattress Firm first because it happened to be next to a place we ate, so why come back to where you already are.. We really were expecting sales pitches and high pressure to purchase "today", follow you like a hawk, rush you off to the next mattress, show you more than what you really wanted to see (you start to confuse them as you've seen way to many) then move you out or leave you permanently, if you didn't decide now because of other customers waiting, as we walked in the door. We were greeted by 2 sales ladies who welcomed us in, asked us what we were looking for and told us they would be with us shortly as they both were with other customers at that moment. We kind of looked at a few, as we semi knew what we wanted, but wanted more information and wanted a "test" before we settled on a specific one. Ms. Darla was our lady! She listened to what our concerns were of what we have and what we wanted and didn't want, even on our sleep habits and pillows. She immediately went and got a couple of pillows (to fit how we sleep and they were sanitized) for us to carry around to each bed we went to. 1st off, she nailed it with the pillows!!! She explained the in's and out's of the mattresses, how they are made and what they were made off. She explained why each mattress had it's pro's and con's. Ms. Darla would leave us to lay there for as long as we wanted to toss, turn, relax and talk about how we liked/disliked that particular bed with each other. If there was another shopper in the store, she would greet them, and as were were laying and relaxing, she would walk over to them and get them started on what they were looking for. She did not pressure us one bit!!! Gave us time to talk and move around. We stayed between 3 beds that we liked and kept going back and forth for another try. No matter what question we had, Ms. Darla answered it, even if it wasn't something we wanted to hear. We really had no intentions to buy then and there. We HAD other stores to go to, as this wasn't our first experience in buying mattresses. You shop around different stores, we searched online, we looked at reviews of mattresses, and see who has the best deals. I even had my notes with us and compared them to what she was telling us. We were honest with her up front about that, too. We've been married over 30 years and I can tell you we've purchased many mattresses. We have never had an experience like we had with Ms. Darla Bullock. She told us don't look at the prices, I've got a deal we can work with. She didn't say "if you leave now, I can't give you the offer or sale". She just said nicely " The sale goes off Tuesday and I'm off the next 2 days, but anyone here can help you if you come back". Needless to say our new mattress and adjustable frame will be in tomorrow!!!! I would highly recommend you start your search here at the Galleria store on and ask for Ms. Darla! Yes, the others can do the same, but we just seem to have a lady who fit our personalities perfectly. If we ever need to replace a mattress on any of our other beds, Mattress Firm and Ms. Darla will be where we go.
