Dear Valued Patients:

Thank you for the opportunity to have served you and many of your friends and family members for the past 42 years.
It is with mixed emotions that I inform you that I plan to retire as of December 16, 2022. I have had the pleasure of caring for treasured patients like yourself and have delivered several thousand babies, performed countless surgeries and have been dedicated to keeping my patients healthy. I feel blessed to have done so and have greatly enjoyed my practice.

I will be available for routine annual exams and gynecology visits until that time.

Your medical records will be available in the office until that date. After that, as of January 23, 2023 you may request your records from our chosen medical record custodian; Cariend. You may contact Cariend at www.cariend.com or by calling 404-991-7080.
Cariend is not a medical provider and does not handle billing, medications, or referrals for the closed practice.

Requestors should be prepared to complete the Records Release Authorization Form and provide a copy of government-issued photo ID, as required by the HIPAA laws. The fastest way to process requests for copies of medical records is to visit Cariend’s website and submit your contact information at the link below – you will then be sent an email with instructions to securely upload your authorization form and ID: https://www.cariend.com/request-records/

If you do not have access to a computer or internet, Cariend can be reached by phone at 404- 991-7080 – please note the HIPAA laws do not allow medical records to be released based on a phone or email request.

Yesterday was such a special day!

Dr. Schettler was honored by the Family Life Center (Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby units) administration , physicians and staff at Memorial Hermann Northeast with a plaque acknowledging his years of dedication and caring for expectant mothers and delivering all those sweet babies! 💙💖💙💖

Dr Schettler was incredibly grateful and humbled to receive this recognition!

Update: to be clear, no plans of retirement just yet! Will be doing Gynecology only!!!!

“Dedicated to the Health Needs of Women” while this continues to be our focus; we want to make those health needs easier to achieve!

We recognize women have hectic, busy work schedules, kid schedules, home schedules and too many other things to list….Typically this means women don’t make time for themselves.

This is where we can help! We are offering flexible scheduling…meaning if you need an earlier morning appointment; let us know and we will make it happen! Need to be seen during your lunch break or after 5:00? Tell us, we will be here for you!!!

It’s all about helping each other through this thing called life!!!

Exciting changes ahead!

As of June 1, 2022 our practice will be dedicated to focusing on Womens Health (Gynecology only).

While it will be a change to not have Obstetrics (pregnancy care) as part of our services; and assist in bringing beautiful babies into this world (last count approximately 14,000).

Our vision is to continue to promote wellness, counsel and consult with patients on their gynecology needs; often times having same day appointments available.

We are focused on providing quality, personalized care for the the women of our community in the upcoming years ahead!
