Today, we pause to honor the incredible bravery and sacrifice of our residents who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. 🇺🇸

Our community was filled with pride as we hosted a special Veterans Day celebration, recognizing the servicemen and women who call The Terraces home. We enjoyed a breakfast with special guests, witnessed a heartfelt tribute from Quilts of Valor honoring one of our veterans, Sam with a beautiful patriotic quilt and enjoyed music from the Kingwood Park High School band.

To all veterans, both here with us and across the nation: your legacy of freedom lives on in the care and camaraderie you bring to our community every day. Thank you for your service.

We’ve had such a fantastic week celebrating Halloween and the season! Yesterday we welcomed trick-or-treaters into our community - we loved seeing all the kids dressed in their costumes! Today we had a Halloween party with spooky treats, live music and a costume contest.

It’s a great day for trick-or-treating! Join us at 2:30 or 5:30 PM. Our residents are prepared with buckets filled with candy and prizes for trick-or-treaters! We also have a fun Halloween themed backdrop where you can take photos of your kids in their costumes. See the flyer for address and details.

Our first Market at The Terraces was a huge success! Residents attended special activities over the last two weeks to earn market bucks for their purchases

A popular local Kingwood area plant group donated plants and rooted cuttings. There were also fresh baked mini fruit pies, beer bread, jewelry, snacks, zippered bags and many nore items!

We will definitely host another market in the spring!

Special thanks to the Jr. Master Gardeners group that not only helped plant many of the donated plants, but volunteered the entirety of our event today!

Today we kicked off our Halloween spirit week, starting with Halloween pajama day! Spirit week is for residents and staff to take part in, & we can’t wait for what the week brings us with each themed day-especially since it’s spooky season!

We’ve got spirit, yes we do! We’ve got spirit, how about you? What a great day at The Terraces! Kingwood Middle School band, dance, cheer and athletes put on a great pep rally at our community. So many residents shared stories about their pep rally days when they would dance, cheer, or play in the band. After the pep rally, the students spent time playing games and engaging with our residents.

We are so thankful to the students, teachers, coaches, and sponsors of these wonderful programs at Kingwood Middle School for sharing their time and talents with us!

It’s pumpkin season! We crafted decoupage pumpkins. Everyone chose what they wanted theirs to look like to match their decor. They are adorable! We’re not finished with pumpkin crafts just yet… We have lots of fall crafts on our calendar this month. If you would like to come craft with us, we would love to have you!

It’s Active Aging Week! We are proud to have such a phenomenal fitness program at The Terraces. We offer daily fitness classes as well as water aerobics, balance and Pilates classes each week. This week in addition to the fitness program, we are focusing on brain health and overall wellness. Health talks, snack and learn and many active activities like chair volleyball, co****le, and basketball will help us to stay active! As an added bonus, residents that participate in active aging activities this week will receive double auction bucks!

We had a great time listening to The Kingwood Pops performance, “Peace, Love and Pops”. We always enjoy their concerts! Next up for the Pops is the holiday show - we’ll be there too!

What an AMAZING Oktoberfest celebration we had! 🎉 Residents had a fantastic time enjoying German brats, polka music, and good company. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun!
