Soul Listening-Emily Peasley Soul Listening is a journey of healing and wholeness. Being called to pay attention to mysticism and faith has always been part of who I am.

I grew up on a farm in southern Iowa and it was here that I first experienced the Divine without even knowing it. My life's call has always been to walk with others on their spiritual journey in the different landscapes of life no matter my own age or stage of life. After pastoring United Methodist Churches in Iowa for 25 years, my call is to spiritual direction. What is spiritual direction? Have you ever wanted to talk to someone confidentially in a safe space and without judgement about something? Or are you seeking to grow in your relationship with God, the Divine, Higher Power or whatever name/word you choose to use? This is what I provide as a spiritual director. I listen deeply to what you have to share and ask open ended questions to help you explore it. What you share is up to you. It can be personal, professional or any area you would like to explore. Have you ever wondered what your dreams mean? You can explore those individually or be part of a group. Are you wanting to be more compassionate? I offer small group and individual sessions focused on compassion. If you resonate or long for someone to walk with you on your spiritual journey through spiritual direction, dream work or compassion contact me and I will listen deeply.

There are many windows to look out in life…

There is a beautiful complexity of growth within the human soul. In order to glimpse this, it is helpful to visualize the mind as a tower of windows. Sadly, many people remain trapped at the one window, looking out every day at the same scene in the same way. Real growth is experienced when you draw back from that one window, turn, and walk around the inner tower of the soul and see all the different windows that await your gaze. Through these different windows, you can see new vistas of possibility, presence, and creativity. Complacency, habit, and blindness often prevent you from feeling your life. So much depends on the frame of vision -- the window through which you look.
