Yesterday, Dr. Harnish had the opportunity to visit the Johnson & Johnson Institute in Jacksonville, FL! She spent the day with optometrists from across the country learning all about the Acuvue Oasys Max family of contact lenses (including those tricky multifocal torics!) so she can bring the newest technology back to our patients.

Earlier this week, Dr. Harnish joined over 500 optometrists and students in Washington, D.C. as the American Optometric Association took to Capitol Hill! She met with Pennsylvania legislators and their staff to advocate for our patients and the future of optometry! Way to go, Dr. Harnish!

to Halloween 2017! We did a Star Wars theme that year, and in the first photo we have Dr. Kirman as Han Solo, Angie as Chewbacca, Jordan, our student doctor, as Yoda, Dr. Bahajak as Princess Leia, and Dr. Baer as Darth Vader. Wait and see what we have in store for this year!

Sunday was the Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society’s 28th Annual Fall CE Forum at The Hotel Hershey.

Dr. Bahajak and Dr. Harnish are on the board for the CPOS. Dr. Harnish serves as the Continuing Education Trustee and was responsible for creating the lineup of speakers/topics, securing sponsors for the event, and making sure the day went smoothly for all involved. Dr. Bahajak serves as President and was responsible for introducing speakers and keeping everyone on schedule for the day. With over 80 OD's in attendance, it was a great day of education and networking!

Fun history fact, Dr. Baer planned the very 1st CE event for the Central PA Optometric Society in 1998. You may also recognize in a few former externs in the board photo - Kiera Jeschke and Kristin Yandrich (now Goodling).
