“Miss Lisa Got A Brand New Bag” literally!
I have had the pleasure of caring for the kindest postpartum family these past 12 weeks!
Together we have successfully managed breastfeeding challenges, baby weight gain, oral tie revisions, baby and mommy body work and gentle safe sleep support!
What a rewarding and wonderful feeling it is to end this contract on such a high note! I will miss this precious family so much!!! But I feel confident knowing that I set them up for parenting success as they navigate on their own now .
Thank you for the great tote bag and for choosing me as your overnight and daytime postpartum doula!
You will always be in my heart! 💖

Sometimes us moms to adult children need a space for bragging rights too….
This is my middle son , my Valentine Cupid who recently did a modeling shoot for clothier.

I’m not such a fan of the longer hair and “stache” but what I love and admire so much about my boy is that he is an old soul who was born identifying with everything from the 1970’s era. And well , now he looks the part! His look brings him back to his authentic self where he seems to be shining the brightest lately!
Proud mom moment right here!
Keep going my son, keep going! ⭐️

I had the pleasure of accompanying my doula baby to her cranial sacral appointment yesterday.
It’s always fun to have a little field trip with my clients especially when it’s loaded with so much informative information and exercises to do to improve babies wellness and core.
We worked on age appropriate tummy time techniques , stretches and positioning.
A special shout out to Kate .align for updating me on so many resources and techniques for my postpartum doula babes!

You’ll be proud to know that I incorporated all of the things we learned from you into playtime and tummy time today!
It’s always a treat to see both you and Austin on the same day!!

As we enter the holiday of Thanksgiving and all that we are thankful for I want to pause and reflect on the many fantastic families and babies I’ve had the pleasure to care for in this past year.
I am so grateful for the many referrals, birth worker professionals who help me assist my families , and for the tiniest of clients that I am so thankful to doula for.
I’m wishing you all the happiest , healthiest Thanksgiving week and holiday season!

💨 If you are looking for a homeopathic alternative for baby stomach discomforts I recommend Tummy Oil by Rowe Casa Organics. It’s a little pricey, but I confess , I love using tummy oil on my baby clients. The smell is so good and it helps ease and relax babies who are uncomfortable due to gas, bloating, constipation, reflux and hiccups.

👣 I use 1/2 drop and massage both feet and stomach moving in clockwise strokes. It is used for a massage that helps soothe a baby’s digestive system. This little treatment is also a nice way to bond and connect with your baby , especially if they aren’t feeling 100%.

Ingredients Include- 🌿
ORGANIC UNREFINED COLD PRESSED JOJOBA OIL, 100% PURE THERAPEUTIC GRADE ESSENTIAL OILS: TARRAGON, GINGER, PEPPERMINT, JUNIPER, FENNEL, LEMONGRASS, ANISE, PATCHOULI

⚠️ As always check with your baby’s medical care professional before applying this product to your baby’s skin. A patch test should be performed first in a small area to be certain your baby has no reactive symptoms.

Tummy Oil is Labor and Lullabies Approved.

It’s Time To Fall Back ⏰

To prepare babies for the “fall back” time change, gradually shift their entire schedule later by 15-30 minutes each day for several days before the time change. This helps them adjust without becoming overtired.

After the time change, you can either continue the gradual adjustment or move directly to their normal schedule.

I find that the easiest way to prepare your baby for the fall back daylight savings period is to For several days leading up to the time change, shift your baby’s schedule (including naps, meals, and bedtime) 15-30 minutes later each day.

Make sure that during the day you expose your baby to natural light soon after waking. In the evening, keep lights dim to help signal that it’s time to wind down. This will help balance their internal circadian rhythm and regulate the new sleep cycle.

If your little one is struggling and sensitive to the time change or
if your baby is overtired, you can put them to bed 30-45 minutes earlier than normal to help them adjust.

Remember to be patient , It’s normal for it to take a few days for your baby to fully adapt to the new fall back schedule. Just stay consistent with the new routine and your baby will eventually adjust.

I just moved to the most beautiful farmette surrounded by a forest filled with woodland treasures. It brought me such joy to forage through my forest yesterday and create these autumn masterpieces… so I thought I might share! Being out in nature and enjoying every season fills my cup!
