Dental health impacts your pet’s whole body 🦷🐾

Problems in the mouth can affect more than just your pet’s teeth. Dental disease in dogs and cats allows bacteria to enter the bloodstream, which may impact the heart, kidneys, liver, and immune system if left untreated.

Common signs of dental disease include:
• Persistent bad breath
• Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
• Pain or difficulty chewing
• Dropping food or eating less
• Pawing at the mouth or behavior changes

At Powers Veterinary Hospital, we check your dog or cat’s teeth as part of a complete veterinary exam to help catch dental problems early—before they cause pain or lead to serious organ damage.

🐶🐱 Have your dog or cat’s teeth checked today and take a proactive step toward their long-term health. Preventive dental care can make a lasting difference.
