Tesh did so well for his neuter today 🖤🐾 such a sweet boy from check-in to recovery!

Neutering is a safe, routine procedure that supports your dog’s long-term health and wellbeing. Benefits can include:
• Reduces risk of testicular cancer
• Helps prevent prostate issues
• May decrease roaming, marking, and some hormone-driven behaviors
• Helps control pet overpopulation

We’re so proud of you, Tesh, now it’s time for rest, cuddles, and a smooth recovery at home 💤✨

Buddy is 9 years old and came in for his annual wellness exam and senior bloodwork 🐾

As cats enter their senior years, routine testing like bloodwork, urinalysis, and f***l exams becomes so important. These help us establish a healthy baseline and catch early changes before they become bigger concerns. It’s one of the best ways to support long-term health and quality of life.

Buddy did such a great job during his visit 💚 Thank you to Buddy’s family for trusting us with his care!

Michelle + Boris 🖤

Boris is one of our sweet regulars who comes in every month for his Solensia injection to help manage his arthritis. He may not look impressed about it 😅, but these visits help keep him comfortable, mobile, and enjoying his day-to-day life.

We’ve loved getting to know Boris over time! Those routine visits really matter especially for pets dealing with chronic pain. Arthritis can be easy to miss at first (a little slowing down, less jumping, sleeping more), but early support can make a huge difference.

If your pet has been showing signs of stiffness or slowing down, we’re always here to help keep them feeling their best 🐾

Some pups leave a pawprint on our hearts ❤️

Grits is a very special dog with unique needs, and his family trusted us to care for him through a dental and mass removal last year. Their kind words about our team truly warm our hearts: knowing we could make his visit less stressful, handle unexpected situations calmly, and provide the care he deserves means everything to us.

A huge thank you to his family for sharing their experience and for tagging us—it’s moments like these that remind us why we love what we do at Powers Veterinary Hospital. Every pet is special, and every family’s trust is something we never take for granted.

Muñeco is 19 years old! 🐶✨
Yes… nineteen!

Still tiny, still adorable, and still stealing hearts at the clinic. Senior pets like Muñeco remind us how important regular checkups are as our furry friends get older. 💛

As pets age, they may need a little extra care and monitoring to help them stay comfortable and healthy.

If you have a senior pet at home, don’t forget to schedule their wellness visit!

Meet Milo. 💛

Milo recently came to us after suffering severe eye trauma, which unfortunately left the eye too damaged to save. To relieve his pain and prevent further complications, he underwent an eye enucleation (surgical removal of the eye) here at Powers Veterinary Hospital.

While losing an eye can sound scary, many pets recover very well and quickly adapt to life with one eye. Milo is already showing us how resilient and strong he is. 🐾

Thank you to Milo’s family for trusting us with his care.

If your pet ever experiences eye injury, swelling, discharge, or sudden changes in the eye, it’s important to seek veterinary care as soon as possible.

We’re cheering you on, Milo! 🐶💛

Is your cat jumping less than they used to? 🐾

Ruby stopped by for her Solensia injection, and we couldn’t resist sharing this adorable happy shot 💕

Many people don’t realize that cats can develop arthritis too. Because cats are so good at hiding discomfort, the signs can be easy to miss.

Watch for things like:
• Hesitating to jump onto furniture
• Sleeping more than usual
• Stiffness after resting
• Grooming less
• Being less playful

The good news is that arthritis doesn’t mean your cat has to stay uncomfortable. Treatments like Solensia can help improve mobility and quality of life.

If you’ve noticed changes in your cat’s activity, let’s talk about options.
