We opened our doors in April 2019… and just a few months later, we met Choco 🤎

2019 ➡️ 2026

We first met Choco when he was 7 years old, and since then, he’s been part of our Powers Veterinary Hospital family. Getting to care for pets through the years—from adult to senior—means everything to us.

Choco has trusted us with his exams, vaccines, and ongoing care, and moments like this remind us why long-term veterinary relationships matter. Watching our patients grow older (and still just as sweet) is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Thank you to Choco’s family for trusting us with his care for all these years, we’re so lucky to be part of his journey 🐾

Molly stopped by for her annual vaccines and handled it like a pro 🐾💉

Routine vaccinations are one of the simplest ways to protect your pet from serious (and preventable) diseases. Even our bravest little patients need their yearly protection to stay healthy and happy.

Thank you, Molly’s family, for keeping her care up to date. We love seeing her every visit 🤍

Missy gave everyone a scare after swallowing not just one, but two hair ties 😳

Foreign body ingestion in cats is more common than many people think. Items like hair ties, strings, and rubber bands can be very dangerous if swallowed, potentially causing intestinal blockages that require urgent veterinary care or surgery.

Cats can sometimes get bored or curious and turn everyday objects into “toys,” which is why safe enrichment and pet-safe toys are so important at home.

We’re very grateful to Missy’s family for acting quickly and bringing her in right away 💛 Early veterinary intervention plays a huge role in preventing more serious complications.

A quick reminder for cat owners:
• Keep small objects like hair ties out of reach
• Provide safe toys and enrichment
• Seek veterinary care immediately if ingestion is suspected

Thank you again to Missy’s family for trusting us with her care 🐾

Mac & Cheese came in for a dental and did amazing 🤍🦷

Dental disease in cats is more common than most people think, and the tricky part? Cats are very good at hiding discomfort. By the time we notice signs like bad breath, drooling, or changes in eating, there may already be significant dental issues present.

Routine dental care isn’t just about clean teeth. It helps prevent pain, infection, and other health complications.

Thank you to Mac & Cheese’s family for trusting us with her care 🐾

If you’ve ever wondered whether your cat might need a dental check, this is your sign to schedule one—early prevention makes all the difference.

14 teeth extracted at Powers Veterinary Hospital to help manage this cat’s chronic stomatitis. 🐾

Feline chronic stomatitis is a severe inflammatory condition of the gums and oral tissues that can cause pain, drooling, bad breath, and difficulty eating. When medical management isn’t enough, cat dental extractions are often recommended to help reduce inflammation and improve comfort over time.

Here at Powers Veterinary Hospital, we focus on comprehensive cat dental care—from diagnosis to treatment and recovery—so pets receive the support they need every step of the way. 💛

Cats are incredibly resilient, and many are able to adapt well even after multiple dental extractions, especially once inflammation is better managed and with proper follow-up care.

Thank you to this pet’s family for trusting our team and making a thoughtful decision for their cat’s health. We know these choices aren’t easy, and we’re honored to be part of their care.

If your cat is showing signs of dental disease—like decreased appetite, pawing at the mouth, or foul odor—schedule a cat dental exam with us. Early care can make a big difference.

Tesh did so well for his neuter today 🖤🐾 such a sweet boy from check-in to recovery!

Neutering is a safe, routine procedure that supports your dog’s long-term health and wellbeing. Benefits can include:
• Reduces risk of testicular cancer
• Helps prevent prostate issues
• May decrease roaming, marking, and some hormone-driven behaviors
• Helps control pet overpopulation

We’re so proud of you, Tesh, now it’s time for rest, cuddles, and a smooth recovery at home 💤✨

Buddy is 9 years old and came in for his annual wellness exam and senior bloodwork 🐾

As cats enter their senior years, routine testing like bloodwork, urinalysis, and f***l exams becomes so important. These help us establish a healthy baseline and catch early changes before they become bigger concerns. It’s one of the best ways to support long-term health and quality of life.

Buddy did such a great job during his visit 💚 Thank you to Buddy’s family for trusting us with his care!
