Massage Therapy is now recognized by the National Institutes of Health, the American College of Physicians, and the Department of Defense as an effective treatment for chronic pain. Major health systems like Mayo Clinic, Duke Health, and Memorial Sloan-Kettering have integrated massage therapists into their care teams. This National Massage Therapy Awareness Week, let's celebrate the growing acceptance of massage in integrative healthcare.

Tuesday Tip!

Prenatal massage aims to alleviate discomfort, reduce stress, and promote relaxation during the various stages of pregnancy. Unlike traditional massage, prenatal massage uses specific positioning and techniques that are safe for both the mother and the developing baby. This includes side lying, where there are plenty of pillows to help mom and baby be comfortable!

This style of massage is the same pricing as my normal massages!

It’s Christmas in September 🤪. Heel pain is a common ailment and in kids it can keep them out of sports and activities that they enjoy 👎🏼. Home care is very important but there are also other treatments that can speed up the recovery and reduce their pain like our Class IV Laser. 🙌🏼

Tuesday Tip!

A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy that uses heated stones to provide warmth and relaxation. I typically use these on the back and neck!

This can also be added to a massage at no additional cost!

Tuesday Tip!

Cupping therapy is an alternative medicine technique that uses suction on the skin to promote healing. It is believed to improve blood flow and stimulate the nervous system. The suction created by the cups draws fluid into the treated area, which can help to reduce tension and promote cell repair. This process may also help to remove toxins from the tissues. Cupping is used in sports medicine for muscle recovery and pain relief.

I offer cupping in any massage with no additional cost!

Tuesday Tip!

Referred pain is pain perceived at a location other than the site of the pain. For example, some have tingling in their hands when I’m working on their neck. This is likely due to knots in the neck. This compression can affect the nerves that travel down the arm and into the hands, causing the tingling sensation.
