A patient came to PhippsCARE not knowing what she should do! The condition was out of the scope of practice for our pharmacy doctors. We listened to what she had to say and offered her three separate practice names in town that we knew would be willing to see her soon. One of those providers saw her same day on his lunch break. A patient walked in last week complaining of a very sore throat and was concerned about strep. Tested negative. Patient decided to treat symptoms at home over the weekend, with knowledge that a script could be given if symptoms worsened. The patient’s symptoms resolved.
