Did you know that approximately 30 million youngsters participate in youth sports in the United States? Today’s young athletes work harder, spend longer hours, and work through injury more than any generation before. While sports lead to great opportunities, they also can put a lot of strain on little bodies. Many school-aged children and teen athletes are experiencing injuries and chronic pain early in their sporting careers. Chiropractic care works to find the root of the problem and heal the issue itself – as well as preventing chronic pain from ever occurring.

Chiropractic care helps keep your child ready to compete by reducing or eliminating pain. It also helps align your athlete's spine, making it easier for them to perform their best. When your child's body is in top-notch shape, it helps them focus on leading their team to victory without the distraction of pain or discomfort.

Many people wait until an injury occurs to visit a chiropractor, but the truth is that you can, and should, seek chiropractic care before pain strikes. In fact, visiting a chiropractor may even help your athlete stop  injuries from happening in the first place. Taking care of a young athlete’s body should not begin the first day of practice or after the first tournament of the season. Athletes should focus on body awareness and health all year long, and regular chiropractic care can help!

With regular chiropractic care, your athlete may notice increased flexibility and reduced muscle stiffness. This helps your child's body meet the demands of youth sports, and it also helps decrease the risk of injuries from pulled muscles. Call the office today to set up your athlete's first chiropractic visit!
