What We Believe
By Ernest Holmes, 1927

We believe in God, the living Spirit Almighty; one, indestructible, absolute, and self-existent Cause. The manifest universe is the body of God; it is the logical and necessary outcome of the infinite self-knowingness of God. We believe in the individualization of the Spirit in Us, and that all people are individualizations of the One Spirit. We believe in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding. We believe that heaven is within us, and that we experience it to the degree that we become conscious of it. We believe the ultimate goal of life to be a complete freedom from all discord of every nature, and that this goal is sure to be attained by all. We believe in the unity of all life, and that the highest God and the innermost God is one God. We believe that God is personal to all who feel this indwelling presence. We believe in the direct revelation of truth through our intuitive and spiritual nature, and that anyone may become a revealer of truth who lives in close contact with the indwelling God. We believe that the Universal Spirit, which is God, operates through a Universal Mind, which is the Law of God; and that we are surrounded by this Creative Mind which receives the direct impress of our thought and acts upon it. We believe in the healing of the sick through the power of this Mind. We believe in the control of conditions through the power of this Mind. We believe in the eternal Goodness, the eternal Loving-kindness, and the eternal Givingness of Life to all. We believe in our own soul, our own spirit, and our own destiny; for we understand that the life of all is God.

Take 30 seconds and come with me. ๐Ÿค Close your eyes if you can. Take one slow breath in and let it go completely.

Imagine yourself walking through a quiet garden. The air is still. Everything is soft and unhurried. With every step you feel a little lighter, a little more at peace.

And then you notice it โ€” a warm, golden light. Not outside of you. Inside of you. Glowing gently, steadily, like it has always been there. Because it has. ๐ŸŒฟ

This is not something you created. This is something you uncovered.

That warmth, that radiance, that feeling of being held from the inside โ€” that is love in its purest form. That is your Higher Power revealing itself to you. Not in a church. Not in a perfect moment. Right here. Right now. In the middle of your ordinary day. โœจ

Breathe it in. Let it be real. You don't have to earn it or explain it or understand it fully.

You just have to let it be yours. ๐Ÿ’›

Drop a ๐ŸŒฟ below if you felt that. I'd love to know it landed

6 months sober. 1 year sober. Maybe more. And you're still waking up anxious. Still snapping at people you love. Still feeling like something is fundamentally wrong with you.

Can I tell you what nobody said out loud?

Sobriety removed the numbing. Not the chaos.

The thoughts are still there. You're just sober enough now to feel all of it. ๐Ÿ˜”
That's not a sign you're failing. That's a sign you're finally face to face with the real work.

And in the middle of all that noise there's something quiet. Not gone. Not silent. Just waiting for you to stop running long enough to hear it.

Ask yourself one question today: "Do I feel alive right now or constricted?"

That feeling IS your compass. Start there.
You're not lost. ๐Ÿค You're just learning a language you were never taught.

Save this for the hard days. ๐Ÿ”–

If someone had told us early in recovery to "deepen my conscious contact with my Higher Power" we would have nodded politely and had absolutely no idea what that meant in real life.

Like... practically. On a Tuesday. When we are anxious and overwhelmed and the last thing we feel is spiritual.

What does that actually look like?

That's the question nobody was answering. So that's exactly what this free video series "From Struggle to Serenity" does.

Actual practical tools for actual real days when connection feels impossible and you need something that works right now.

If you've ever nodded along to spiritual advice while privately thinking "but HOW" โ€” this was made for you. ๐Ÿค

Still holding onto an old belief? ๐Ÿ‘€

Your soul is just protecting you from moving too fast, from being too raw, from stepping into the new before you're ready. ๐ŸŒฟ

Healing has its own intelligence. โœจ Trust it.
Let it fall away in its own time, beloved. You are right on schedule. ๐Ÿ’›

When you get into a life that honors your sobriety, you miss substances because they met a real need. You just needed a better solution. ๐Ÿค

And here's what I want you to know the need it met is not shameful. The longing for relief is not shameful.
The desire to feel less, or feel more, or just feel different for a while โ€” that is the most human thing in the world.

Spirit understands that.

You don't have to pretend you don't miss it sometimes. You just have to trust that what's waiting for you on the other side of that grief is something that actually lasts.

Real peace. Real belonging. Real relief that doesn't cost you everything.

That's what we're building here. Together. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Just actually, genuinely, unashamedly enjoy being alive.

Because somewhere along the way recovery became so serious.

So heavy. So much about doing the work that we forgot the whole point of the work was to get to this โ€” laughing too loud, eating something delicious, dancing in your kitchen, feeling the sun, loving someone well.

Joy is not a reward you get after you've healed enough. Joy is medicine. Joy is spiritual practice. Joy is how Spirit reminds you that you made it. ๐Ÿค

You don't have to justify it. You don't have to earn it. You don't have to wait until you're more healed, more stable, more worthy.

You are allowed to feel good. Right now. Today. As you are.

When is the last time you did something just because it made you feel alive? Tell me below. I genuinely want to know. ๐Ÿ‘‡

There is a version of you that doesn't have to work so hard to feel God. ๐Ÿค

A version that isn't straining to connect, performing spirituality, or wondering in the quiet moments whether any of this is actually working. A version that feels genuinely held, guided and confident in their own inner wisdom.

That version of you is not far away. It's actually the truest version of you. And getting there doesn't require more discipline or more willpower or more of anything that's already exhausted you.

It just requires a little guidance. Practical, loving, honest guidance that meets you exactly where you are right now. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

So we created a free video series (short, simple and made with real intention) that gives you practical tools to deepen your conscious contact with your Higher Power today.

Each video was made slowly and carefully with one person in mind. You. The one whose heart is quietly saying yes to something more. โœจ

We're doing this together. And you're already winning. ๐Ÿ’›

In recovery, we trade one form of control for another without even realizing it. And it exhausts us.

But what I really want (what my soul is always reaching for) is that quiet joy that doesn't need to prove anything to anybody. โœจ
So today the practice is simple. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ Pause. Breathe slowly.

Ask yourself gently... "Where am I trying to please instead of simply being present?"

Just notice, beloved. That noticing IS the healing. ๐Ÿ’›

03/10/2026

What if your doubt isn't the enemy? ๐Ÿ‘€

What if it's actually teaching you something?

Awakening is not a moment. It's a process... layer by layer, truth by truth. ๐Ÿง…๐ŸŒฟ

Stop pretending your way through healing and start living your way through it. ๐Ÿ’›

Your experience is real. And it is enough. โœจ

You are not someone who gave up. You are someone who woke up. And now you're in the part nobody talks about >> sober, searching, and trying to figure out what you actually believe about God, about Spirit, about whether anything greater than yourself is even listening. ๐Ÿค

You already know that staying sober and actually building a life with meaning are not the same thing. You've felt the difference between white-knuckling through a day and genuinely feeling held by something greater.

And you want more of the second one.

That is exactly who we wrote this for.

The Road to Your Higher Power is a free guide for people in recovery who are ready to build a connection with a Higher Power that actually feels real, alive and uniquely theirs.

A genuine living connection that strengthens everything... your recovery, your peace, your sense of who you are and why you're here. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

It's free.

https://vidaslc.org/road-to-your-higher-power/

And it was written for you. โœจ

Hey. Come sit down for a second. ๐Ÿค Can I ask you something honestly?

You're doing the thing. Showing up. Being responsible. Checking the boxes.

And still at the end of the day something just feelsโ€ฆ off. Numb maybe. Or restless. Like you're present but not really there.
I know that feeling. And I want you to know it doesn't mean you're failing.

It means your soul is tired of performing. It wants to actually participate in your life.

So this week I want you to try something with me. I call it the aliveness spot check and it takes about 20 seconds.

Just ask yourself where do I feel most alive right now?

Not most productive. Not most approved of. Alive.

Maybe it's a walk. A real honest conversation. A creative idea you keep pushing aside. Holding someone's hand. Being near water.

Whatever that is โ€” that's not a distraction from your recovery. That's direction. That indwelling power inside you doesn't shout. It just quietly makes you feel alive and pulls you toward what's real.

Try tracking that for 7 days. Just notice. ๐ŸŒฟ
You're not lost. You're just learning to follow aliveness instead of a checklist. And that's where things start to shift.

What made you feel alive today? Tell me below. ๐Ÿ‘‡
