Student Doctor Network (Health Professional Student Association), the Social Mission Alliance, and the RELATE Lab are collaborating on a workshop series to help prehealth advisees craft application narratives that are focused on social medicine and health equity!
Workshop 3: Mentorship Connection (April 2026): asynchronous conversations with professionals with a social medicine/healthcare focus. Participants conduct interviews with professional mentors who share their purpose to advance health justice.
We welcome all prehealth applicants (medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, physician assistant, pharmacy, etc.). We are seeking participants who are passionate about serving as community healers and leaders.

The Coastal Research Group (CRG) was founded in 1983 by a group of family medicine educators, program directors, and public policy leaders. The organization grew through the 1980s and 1990s, focusing on promotion and enhancement of family medicine education through conferences, forums, publications, research and policy analysis. In the 2000s, the organization added online student resources to further promote its mission to diffuse information and encourage improvements in community and family-centered healthcare delivery.
