“We are all a paycheck, a health crisis, or a disability away.”

We believe everyone deserves kindness and a place to be heard. Testimonies like this remind us why peer support matters. This reflection came from a caller who read Anthony's blog on our site. Read Anthony's story below.

We graduated our 4th CAPS Peer Support Specialist cohort at California Institute for Men🎉

People can recover, grow, and change.Rehabilitation is possible when individuals are met with dignity and support.

When asked “What did you like most about CAPS?” someone shared:
✨ “It makes you see incarcerated people in a different way. As humans.” ✨

That perspective shift and belief in recovery is the work. Second chances matter. 💛

We haven’t posted since last year!! corny, but iconic. 😅

As we look back on 2025, we’re holding both truth and gratitude. It was a year of real adversity in LA, and also a year of powerful growth and community.

At Project Return Peer Support Network, we’re proud to serve LA County and beyond. This past year, together we:

✨ Supported more than 10,500 individuals
✨ Delivered over 300 trainings across the community
✨ Continued walking alongside 87 volunteer facilitators on their recovery journeys
✨ Secured our new peer respite house
✨ Responded to ICE raids with accurate legal-rights resources for our members
✨ Launched a tech literacy program so folks could connect safely from home
✨ Expanded our online groups to reach all 50 states AND 38 countries

Through every challenge, our community showed up for one another with hope.

Here’s to another year of connection, healing, and reminding people they are never alone. 💛

What a beautiful night on Pacific Blvd ✨

PRPSN’s Spanish-language programs, El Centrito de Apoyo and Un Paso Más, were proud to be part of the 74th Annual Huntington Park Holiday Parade. Our folklórico dance team brought culture to the community during this year’s “Miracle on Pacific Blvd” Parade 🎄💃🏽

So grateful to celebrate alongside families, neighbors at this beloved holiday tradition. 💙

We asked her how our peer respite has helped her overall well-being, and her answer reminds us why peer support matters. 🫶🏽

Our Spanish-language programs, El Centrito de Apoyo and Un Paso Más, continue to bring culturally grounded peer support to communities across Region 7.

On Friday, we gathered for our annual Día de los Mu***os celebration, honoring loved ones who’ve passed with a beautiful ofrenda, traditional folklórico performances, food, and fellowship. 🕯️🌸

At PRPSN, we recognize that healing is cultural. Peer support means holding space for shared stories, honoring heritage, and creating community through every tradition. ❤️

👻 Each Halloween, Hacienda of Hope turns into something magical. Our staff and peers have built the haunted house together over the years adding more and more haunts!

It’s more than just a haunted house, it’s a reminder that they’re part of something bigger: a supportive, recovery driven community where fun and belonging are part of the journey. 🎃✨

From California to Montana 🏔️✨

Our PRPSN team brought peer power (and a little Halloween magic 🎃) to the 2025 WRAP Symposium in Great Falls! Grateful to connect, share, and grow in wellness together 💚

WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) is an evidence-based tool that helps people take charge of their wellness, build daily practices, and create plans for staying well—no matter what life brings. 🌿

✨ PRPSN takes the 2025 15th Annual LASPN Summit ✨

From opening the day with land acknowledgment, drum, and dance, to engaging in powerful workshops and peer reflections … our team was honored to be part of a gathering that centered healing, culture, and collective action for su***de prevention in Los Angeles. 💜

We left reminded that prevention is possible, hope is alive, and healing is something we build together.
