Happy Long-Term Care Administrators Week to Denise A. Arbuckle! π
Denise has been dedicated to the long-term care industry since 2007. She began her healthcare career as a Registered Nurse in 2005, spending her first two years in an acute care hospital setting. In 2007, she entered long-term care as an Assistant Director of Nursing and quickly discovered her passion for serving the senior population.
Approximately two years later, Denise was promoted to Director of Nursing, where she continued building her career caring for and advocating for residents. After many successful years in clinical leadership, she pursued the opportunity to expand her impact by transitioning into operations. In 2024, Denise began her journey as an Administrator in Training, determined to continue working closely with residents while stepping into a broader leadership role.
After passing both her state and federal exams in September 2025, Denise began working as an Administrator right away. She served as an Interim Administrator with The Waters in December 2025 and was then offered a permanent Administrator role in January 2026 in Huntington.
Having been raised nearby and still living in the area, Denise considers it a privilege to serve and care for members of her own community. She looks forward to many more years of growth and dedication with The Waters while continuing to make a positive difference in the lives of residents and their families. π
