6 years ago I sat down in my Brooklyn apartment and googled children’s books that support speech and language development. I was searching for a book that had the parents using strategies SLPs recommend. I thought it would be such a good idea for the families I worked with in early intervention to see it written out this way.

I couldn’t quite find what I was looking for thus inspiring A Day with Daisy. It was a fun little secret project I worked on from time to time on my couch after work. The examples came from real interactions with families and late talkers.

A couple years later, right before I gave birth to my daughter, I finally told my husband! I had wanted to surprise him with the hard copy but at this point I definitely needed some more eyes on Daisy.

I soon sat my hubby, brother and now SIL down for a PowerPoint presentation for feedback and edits. 😂 My mom (former English teacher) also sat down and zoomed with me multiple times for edit sessions.

Fast forward to now…. I noticed Daisy was in the TOP 10 Best Selling Speech Pathology Books on Amazon!❣️ Thank you to my people and everyone for the DAISY LOVE & SUPPORT! It means everything to me when you send me your kiddo reading Daisy. 📚
