In all seriousness, shared screen time is different than passive screen time, so be sure to respond to their comments and making comments about what’s happening on the show. If you are concerned with the AMOUNT of screen time your child is getting, I would think about what could be a replacement. If they are watching tv before bed, screentime might be replacing reading together which research shows is crucial for language and academic skills later in life ✨📚📚📖

That time I did a Babblin’ Babies class in the rain ☔️ 😂💖 Strategies I mention to promote your baby’s speech-

👂REPETITION. Babies need to hear a word many times before it STICKS. Some babies more times than others and that’s ok!

✊🏽IMITATION. Getting your baby to copy your gestures isn’t just fun, it’s great for language too!

🎶SING SONGY VOICE. Research shows our babies actually love that song songy voice also called parentese. It gets their attention which is crucial for learning words!

PATIENCE was the most difficult thing. “Most people don’t like breaks in conversations, but you have to have patience.
