The West Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors Conference took place on April 16 – 17 at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. It was a wonderful two days filled with educational opportunities and meaningful connections with fellow counselors and providers.

River Park Hospital was proud to be part of this year’s conference, with several staff members in attendance and a booth providing information and resources to attendees. It was a great opportunity to learn, connect and share more about our services while taking time to refresh and recharge.

We’re grateful for the chance to participate and engage with others doing important work in behavioral health.

River Park Hospital is excited to introduce one of our many dedicated team members, Jolene Godschalk. Jolene joined River Park Hospital in 2001 and will celebrate 25 years with us this July.

Jolene began her career as a switchboard operator and receptionist before transitioning to the Business Office in 2005. Today, Jolene serves as our Patient Account Coordinator and Cashier, a role she carries out with care, professionalism and attention to detail.

One of the things Jolene appreciates most about her role is the flexibility it provides, allowing her to balance work and family when needed. She also values the trust placed in her to manage such an important position. Jolene shares that the stability, benefits and flexibility of her role are key reasons she has chosen to build such a long career at River Park Hospital.

If you know Jolene, you know how important her family and her Christian faith are to her. She’s also well known for her love of all things purple—just take a look at her office—and for her fondness for Maui, Hawaii, where she was born.

If you work at River Park and haven’t met Jolene yet, make it a point to say hello. She’s one of the kindest people you’ll meet and always greets others with a smile!
