The Hospice of Huntington's Light-a-Life Tree campaign spans five counties throughout West Virginia and Ohio. Each candle on the Light-a-Life Tree honors someone special and helps ensure that other families can receive the same care and support that Hospice of Huntington provides.

Thank you to PetSmart in Russell Kentucky for donating these precious "comfort cuddlies" to be used for hospice dementia patients, Tri-State LifeCare AdultDay participants with dementia and children visiting loved ones at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. We're sure they will be well-loved!

We are honored by the support of the Waggoner Family, General Building Supply and Wellman Hardware . This year, the Waggoners hosted two Case Knife fundraising events in support of Hospice of Huntington, raising a total of $10,000!

The first event on May 10th at Wellman Hardware in Louisa, KY honored Lorine Bowen, the Wellman’s store manager who was celebrating 50 years in the industry. 100 “vault” knives (not in regular circulation and highly coveted by collectors) were designated for charity and can only be purchased at Wellman Hardware or General Building Supply. Lorine chose Hospice of Huntington as the recipient of the proceeds from those special knives.

On October 4th General Building Supply hosted a Case Knife auction with limited-edition knives donated for bidding by the Case Knife Company and Steve Waggoner. Steve chose Hospice of Huntington as the recipient of the auction proceeds (for the third time!).

We are grateful for the Waggoner’s impact on the community and their generosity of spirit.
