โ„๏ธ Stay Safe in the Winter Chill

Cold temperatures can take a toll on your health faster than you think. Limit your time outdoors, dress in warm layers, and watch for signs of frostbite or hypothermia like numbness, shivering or pale skin.

If youโ€™re clearing snow, take breaks and listen to your body โ€” overexertion can increase your risk of injury or heart strain.

If you need care, Marshall Health Network is ready to help with urgent care and emergency services available when you need them most.

Stay warm, stay safe and take good care of yourself and each other. ๐Ÿ’š

Marshall Health Network staff joined fellow community groups to pack more than 10,000 meals at Facing Hunger Food Bank, helping support neighbors in need across our region.

Afterward, several HIMG team members continued the day of service by purchasing and laying wreaths at Spring Hill Cemetery in honor of Wreaths Across America, remembering those who served and sacrificed.

From fighting hunger to honoring heroes, weโ€™re proud of our teamโ€™s commitment to caring for our community in every season. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’™

Stay safe this winter! Frostbite can happen fast, so keep your skin protected as your bodyโ€™s first line of defense. โ„๏ธ๐Ÿงค

If you suspect frostbite, warm the affected areas slowly using warm water or body heat, avoid direct heat sources and seek care if the skin stays discolored or blisters form.

Be prepared, stay safe and enjoy the season. ๐ŸŽ„

๐ŸŽโค๏ธ At St. Maryโ€™s Medical Center, caring for our community extends far beyond hospital walls. This year, our departments of Quality, Accreditation, Infection Prevention and our BERT Coordinator continued a tradition that has become one of their favorites: sponsoring children through the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

They teamed up to make Christmas a little brighter for three brothers, reminding these kids that their community cares about them.

Year after year, this team shows what the season is truly about kindness, generosity and lifting others up. Weโ€™re grateful for their hearts and the hope they bring to families during the holidays. ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ’š Our Marshall Health Network team knows how to bring the holiday spirit to life.

Last night, several MHN employees rolled up their sleeves to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters Christmas Tree Sale at HIMG. Kaylin Bender and Susan Keyser from Lab Services, along with Kathy Friedman, Patient Service Representative, joined forces with Patty Dickey from MHN Community Outreach to help brighten the season for local kids.

Weโ€™re grateful for employees who show up for the communities they work and live in. Their example is a reminder that giving back is one of the best gifts of all.

Thank you for spreading holiday cheer in such a meaningful way! ๐ŸŒŸ
