We can tell you if a spot is actually an age spot. Other spots also become more common on our skin with age, including seborrheic keratoses, actinic keratoses, and skin cancer. This is why it’s a good idea to see an expert for treatment. There are many good over-the-counter products, but you want to be sure your spot is actually an age spot. And if it is, an in-office treatment usually treats the area much more quickly and effectively.

1️⃣ KEEP IT SHORT - ⏰ Limit your bath/shower to 5-10 minutes to avoid drying out your skin.
2️⃣ TURN DOWN THE TEMPERATURE - 🌡️ Use warm water. Hot water removes your skin’s natural oils.
3️⃣ USE GENTLE PRODUCTS - 🧼 Use mild, fragrance-free cleansers.
4️⃣ PAT YOUR SKIN DRY - 💙 Gently use a soft towel.
5️⃣ MOISTURIZE IMMEDIATELY - 🧴 Apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp to lock in moisture.
