Holidays are special here at Hickory Creek at Huntington and Valentine’s Day is no different! We do themed cooking clubs with red potatoes for Manhattans, we do arts and crafts valentine’s themed, and even decorate our big calendar boards for the holiday!

Friday afternoon the Egolf family generously brought our residents Valentine’s Day cards the kids made for them. The residents were happy to see their smiling faces. Thank you so much to Egolf family for thinking of our residents, we appreciate it very much!

Here at Hickory Creek Huntington, we strive to incorporate holidays in our routine activities. Here we are doing Valentine’s Day craft for arts and craft, Valentine’s Manhattans with pink mashed potatoes and pink gravy. Our Valentine’s Day party is Friday and here are some of the goodies we have for that special time! We even decorate our two large wall calendars for the holidays!

At Hickory Creek Huntington, we try and make learning and refreshing our residents minds by doing fun activities such as memory games, trivia, word finds, and card games that stimulate the brain and make residents think for correct answers. This helps our residents with Dementia, without focusing on their Dementia. Who says learning can’t be fun?!
