✨ Huntington Midwifery — 2025, Wrapped ✨

In 2025, we were honored to care for families through birth and beyond — providing midwife-led care across the lifespan, including annual exams, contraception, GYN visits, menopause care, and helping adolescents and teens learn about their bodies and health.

190 births.
Every one counted.
Every one important. 🤍

Behind every number is a family. Behind every birth is a story. Vaginal births, VBACs, and cesareans alike — each one deserves respect, support, and to be fully counted.

To our Huntington Midwifery families: thank you for trusting us with your care — in moments of excitement, uncertainty, strength, and growth. We are deeply grateful to walk alongside you. ✨

As we welcome a new year, we wish you health, peace, and continued support in every season of life. 💫 Happy New Year from all of us at Huntington Midwifery! 🥂🎉

So glad Brian and Matt found their way to us when their plans suddenly shifted. Our team was honored to step in during the last-minute change, support their surrogate, and help welcome their beautiful baby boy.

Even more meaningful — this was Huntington Hospital’s first post-law surrogacy family. What an honor to be part of their journey. 74e12b8a-9fb5-4af5-a402-fc9391cdb1cb.png✨

🌟✨ Happy Diwali from Huntington Midwives! ✨🌟

Today, millions of people around the world are celebrating Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights — a joyful holiday that symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.

🪔 What is Diwali?
Diwali is one of the most important festivals in India and for Hindus, Jains, Sikhs, and some Buddhists around the world. Families celebrate by lighting oil lamps or candles (called diyas), decorating their homes with colorful rangoli, sharing sweets, exchanging gifts, and coming together in gratitude and love.

💜 Why we celebrate at Huntington Midwives:
We honor the diverse traditions and faiths that make our community so vibrant. Diwali reminds us of the light we each carry — the same light we strive to nurture in every birth, every visit, and every act of care.

Wishing all who celebrate a bright, peaceful, and love-filled Diwali!
May your homes and hearts be filled with joy, warmth, and new beginnings. 🌼

🕯 October 15 • Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day 🕯

Today, we join families and communities around the world in honoring the lives of babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, ectopic pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, and infant death.

As midwives, we have the privilege of supporting families through some of life’s most profound moments — both joyful and heartbreaking. There are times when we find ourselves holding space for unimaginable loss, searching for the right words to offer comfort and support. We carry these families and their stories in our hearts always. 💗💙

To all the parents and families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss — your babies are remembered. Your grief is valid. You are not alone.

Happy Midwifery Week to our Huntington Midwifery teammates and to all our midwife colleagues near and far. 🌍💜

Connection is the thread that weaves midwifery together — between midwives and families, colleagues and communities, knowledge and compassion. It’s the heart of what we do.

As midwives, we are invited into life’s most sacred moments. We hold space, build trust, and form bonds that last far beyond a single visit or birth. Each relationship is unique. Each story personal. Together, we create a fabric of care that uplifts, empowers, and honors every individual’s journey.

This Midwifery Week, we celebrate those deep and meaningful connections — and the extraordinary team that makes them possible every single day. 💜

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Huntington office staff for celebrating with us and for the support you show every day. 🙏

We’re so glad midwives Michele, Jessica, Laura, Jennifer, and Tasha (with baby D!) and Jeannie, our amazing office assistant dedicated to the midwives, were able to celebrate in person. 💜

We missed Sammi, Jaclynn, and Diane, and are sending love to those who couldn’t be there! ✨

✨ When the stars aligned—just for a moment 💫
A rare overlap, a powerful presence. All three of us—Tasha, Laura, and Sammi—happened to be at the hospital at the exact moment an incredibly strong and selfless mama found out she was fully dilated after hours of steady labor. We weren’t all there for her birth, but we were there for that unforgettable turning point—and it was magic. 💛🌟
