💙 Sensory Friendly Easter Bunny Visit 💙

We’re creating a calm and welcoming space for families who would enjoy a quieter visit with the Easter Bunny.

Join us for a Sensory Friendly Easter Bunny experience designed especially for children with sensory sensitivities and those who benefit from a more relaxed environment. During this special time, sounds will be softer and the atmosphere will be more peaceful so every child can enjoy meeting the Bunny at their own pace. A sensory friendly play area will be set up for the children during this time.

📅 Wednesday, March 25
⏰ 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Center Court at Huntington Mall

Every child deserves a magical Easter moment, and we can’t wait to share this gentle, joyful experience with your family. 🐰✨

Today is Profound Autism Day.

A reminder that some individuals with autism need lifelong, intensive support, and their needs deserve to be seen, understood, and prioritized. Communication, safety, and dignity. None of that should be optional.

Listen to their families. Support the providers doing the hard work. And don’t overlook the people who can’t advocate for themselves.

Today, we recognize Profound Autism Day across the country.

Why it matters: too many autistic individuals who need care all day, every day are being left behind. Families are stretched to their limits. And the providers, educators, and physicians trained to support them are far too few.

That’s not acceptable.

Awareness leads to action. Action leads to change.
Take a moment today to learn what profound autism really means.

It is Sara’s birthday, which means today she is the official birthday princess of Sycamore Point.

Sara is our Student Analyst, she’s out here working toward becoming a BCBA, supporting our learners, and today the only thing on her to-do list is being celebrated.

So let’s run it up for her in the comments. Drop a happy birthday, a cake emoji, or a restaurant recommendation, because our girl loves trying new spots.

Show Sara some love and help us make sure the birthday princess has the best day.

Happy Birthday, Sara. We love you, queen.

❤🌲Growing Good Together🌲❤

We believe community is built in the everyday ways we show up for one another, and this was such a special opportunity for us.

We were so happy to donate boxes of treats to the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District for their PAWS IN THE PARK EASTER EGG HUNT. As a team full of dog lovers in our admin staff, this event means a lot to us. There is just something so special about dogs. They bring comfort, joy, and a kind of love that feels simple and genuine, and any event that celebrates them while bringing people together feels like something really worth supporting.

What made this even more meaningful was that one of our learners got to be part of the process from start to finish. She used a shopping list, went to the store, found the items, and worked through paying for them while building important job and community-based skills along the way. We love moments like this, where real life learning and giving back come together in a way that feels natural and meaningful.

We want to be part of building a community where people help each other, show up for each other, and find ways to grow together. We really believe that when one part of the community is cared for, all of us are stronger because of it.

We were proud to be a small part of this event, proud of our learner for her hard work, and grateful to be part of a community that makes room for kindness, connection, and a little extra joy.

Paws in the Park will be held on Thursday, March 19 at 6:00 PM at the Ritter Park Fountain, and it is a free event.

Happy 304 Day!

There’s something special about building a clinic in the same community you care so deeply about. The 304 is grit, growth, and heart.

We’re proud to be rooted here and even prouder to serve the families who make this place home.

Where every journey finds direction, right here in the 304.

One of our learners has a very important job each day.

She takes attendance for both kids and staff, and it is easily one of her favorite parts of the day.

What looks like a simple routine is actually packed with meaningful skill building. She’s completing independent tasks, following a multi-step checklist, scanning and matching names, strengthening attention, and building real responsibility from start to finish.

But the best part is how proud she is when she finishes.

When learning feels meaningful and connected to real life, it sticks.

This Women’s Month, we are taking a moment to recognize the women who help shape Sycamore Point every single day, while also honoring every member of our team, including those who identify outside of the gender binary.

Sycamore Point is a women-owned organization, and that matters to us. It was built with intention, with heart, and with a belief that the people doing this work deserve to feel supported, respected, and valued.

If you walked into our space, you wouldn’t see people sitting quietly at desks. You would see staff on the floor, playing, laughing, working through hard moments, celebrating small wins, and building real relationships with our learners.

That is the heart of what we do.

Our RBTs bring that work to life every day. They show patience when things are tough, energy when it’s needed most, and a level of care that can’t be taught in a training. They are the ones celebrating the smallest progress like it is everything, because sometimes it is.

Our BCBAs support that work in a way that keeps it meaningful. They guide, adjust, and make sure each learner’s plan is truly individualized, while also supporting the staff carrying it out. When that partnership is strong, everything changes.

And at Sycamore Point, it is.

What makes our team special is not just the work itself, but how we show up for each other. We support one another, we learn together, and we create a space where our team and our learners feel respected, valued, and safe to be themselves.

Our team is made up of people with different identities, experiences, and perspectives, and that is something we are proud of. Every person here plays a role in making Sycamore Point what it is.

This month, we celebrate the women who lead, support, and inspire, and we are grateful for every single person who shows up each day and makes this place what it is.

If you saw our teaser, you knew something big came in. But seeing it all organized and ready for sessions? Different level.

Fine motor. Learning games. Outdoor exploration tools for park days. Emotions activities. Dramatic play. Sensory. Crafts. Telescopes.

Our shelves are full and it’s already being used.

As a new clinic, moments like this matter. A lot.

Learning Resources, thank you. We’re so excited to put all of this to work for our kids.

Come stock our staff closet with us!

Our team takes care of our kiddos every single day. They celebrate tiny wins, build skills, and show up with heart.

So we’re making sure they’re taken care of too.

Sparkle bins. The essentials. Face wipes. Deodorant. All the ibuprofen. Hair ties (because someone always needs one). Chapstick. Gum. The works.

It’s a small thing. But small things matter.

Supported staff = better care for kids. Always.

Around here, we look out for each other.
