Quitter’s Day is observed on the second Friday in January—this year, January 9. The tradition of making New Year’s resolutions dates back more than 4,000 years to the ancient Babylonians. Their new year began not in January, but in mid-March, marked by the first full moon after the spring equinox.
Quitter’s Day exists to acknowledge how common it is to fall off track—and to remind us that setbacks don’t mean failure. Research shows many people abandon their resolutions by the second Friday of January, but the purpose of this day is encouragement, not judgment.
At BV Medical Solutions, we know you’re no quitter. If your weight loss journey has hit a bump, we’re here to help you reset, refocus, and move forward with confidence. Let us support you with the tools, guidance, and care you need to succeed—this time for the long term.
