Things we want our families to know:
1. There are no such thing as good feelings or bad feelings. All feelings have meaning and valued. Its our job to help you learn to regulate them--not make them go away.
2. All behavior is communication. There's a reason why we do the things we do. Behavior can be unconscious, a way to meet a need, to gather information, or to express an emotion. We're here to help you recognize these behaviors and what they communicate.
3. Play is language. Play engages all aspects of the child—physicality and movement, the senses, imagination, emotions, language, thought, and social connection.
4. It's easy to get wrapped up in the problem. But every person has strengths. The problem doesn't define anyone.
