This year, we welcomed a new class of resident physicians, bringing our total to 60 physicians in training across our Internal Medicine and Family Medicine residency programs.

We also celebrated residents who matched into fellowship programs, taking the next step in their medical careers to receive advanced, specialized training.

We’re starting with Caring for our Community, because we know that caring reaches far beyond the walls of our hospital. 💙

This year at Crestwood:

+ Departments adopted 37 Kids to Love children to make their Christmas morning a bit brighter

+ Employees donated 5,800 jars of peanut butter to Food Bank of North Alabama from the Jars of Love drive

+ In honor of Doctors’ Day, we honored physicians with donations to two local non-profit organizations, National Children's Advocacy Center & Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center.

Crestwood Medical Center now has another treatment option for patients living with atrial fibrillation (AFib). 💙💙

Dr. Quinton Foster, cardiologist and electrophysiologist, performed the first pulse field ablation at Crestwood to treat a patient's irregular heartbeat. According to Dr. Foster, this technology benefits patients by precisely targeting and treating a specific treatment area.

A pulse field ablation uses rapid, high-voltage electrical pulses to selectively destroy heart tissue causing arrhythmias.

The first cochlear implant procedure in North Alabama was recently completed right here at Crestwood Medical Center! 🦻💫

Until now, patients had to travel out of town for a cochlear implant, however, Dr. Sabina Dang, a local ENT specialist and independent member of our medical staff, can now perform the procedure right here in Huntsville.
