Huntsville Cardiovascular Clinic, PC is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist who is proficient at analyzing outstanding accounts receivable physician charges, interacting with various payers and providing sufficient documentation when needed to facilitate resolution of outstanding charges.

Education:

· High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

· Certified Professional Coder Credentials is a plus

· Knowledge and/or experience in a Cardiovascular health care setting is a plus

· In-depth knowledge of third-party payer reimbursement policies is required

· Medical Terminology is required

· A working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and modifier use is required

· Familiarity of personal computer operations with basic knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software is required

· Experience creating spreadsheets, reports, and trends data with demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the use of the reporting system to prepare reports as requested is a plus
