“You never know when you donate to the Covenant Fund…how it impacts someone, but for my husband and me, it changed our entire lives.” - Alex Jackson

Charles and Alex had worked hard to adequately save for a comfortable retirement. When it came to their future, they had every box checked: good jobs, mortgage free home, growing 401K, and good health.
That is, until one by one, each item was taken from them by a series of unforeseen events.

It’s time for our annual Wreath Auction at Creekside Retirement Community! We are now accepting wreath donations for this year’s event. All proceeds will go directly to our Covenant Fund, which helps support residents in our not-for-profit community who may outlive their resources.
Donations can be dropped off at the front desk.
The auction will begin on December 1st and run through December 19th at 7 p.m.
We look forward to seeing all the beautiful and creative wreaths our community comes up with again this year!

We are so incredibly proud of you, Varion!

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Varion Walton to Vice President of Clinical Services!

Varion has been an important part of our organization, consistently showing strong leadership, dedication, and a passion for excellence in resident care and team development. For more than three years, Varion has led the nursing team at Creekside as Director of Nursing, making a lasting impact through his commitment and expertise. He holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, and brings a wealth of additional licensures and certifications that equip him for this role.

Did you know, Creekside is the first Skilled Nursing Community in the State of Texas to successfully implement the American Heart Association’s Heart Failure Certification?



With such an impressive distinction, our very own Varion Walton, DON, has been invited to speak at the American Heart Association’s Scientific Sessions 2025 in New Orleans in November. Varion’s session is titled, “Implementing the American Heart Association Heart Failure Program within a Skilled Nursing Facility – An Evidence-Based Approach.”



In the event you are also planning to attend this event, we hope you’ll make a point to catch Varion’s presentation! While you are there, you might also visit the Global Quality Pavilion, Science and Technology Hall Booth #4 in the Heart Hub, Hall E on Saturday, Nov 8 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM to see abstracts, posters, and model-sharing examples created by health care teams from around the world. It is at this booth you’ll find Varion’s poster ( #41) where we’d encourage you to vote for his as your favorite in the Showcase Showdown to win a prize.

Well howdy folks 🤠🎸 This Halloween our community put on the ultimate showdown — Cowboys and Cowgirls versus Rock and Roll! The Wild West met electric guitars and the sparks were flying. There were boots stomping leather jackets shining and a whole lot of laughs from start to finish. 🎃🐴🎶

What a fantastic day at Creekside! 🎡 Our staff and residents had an amazing time at today’s carnival filled with laughter, games, and plenty of sweet treats! 🍿🎈
The fun isn’t over yet! 🎃 Tomorrow, our residents will be handing out candy starting at 5 p.m. Come by and join us for some Halloween fun! 👻🍬
