Simplify your eating and take the stress and worry out of it.
Protein + veggies + berries = great combo!
Why this works so well:
1. NO recipe needed. Seriously. Just season and grill/roast/saute whatever works
2. FRESH, whole foods. THIS is what your body expects and needs!
3. EASILY adjustable to whatever you have on hand.
And yes... I DID share those berries with hubby and son. :)
Here's how I ate this to further support satiety and best glucose management:
1. I had the green beans first.
2. Next the steak - YUM!
3. Then the small amount of roasted baby golden potatoes.
4. And closed out the meal with the strawberries (and a cup of creamy decaf coffee:)
Do you *have* to eat your food in a certain order?
Of course not.
I often do, though, because I want to prioritize protien and lower carb fiber sources and I don't want to fill up or curb my appetite on higher carb foods... then not be able to fully eat my protein and lower carb veggies!
In fact, by the time I got to those baby 'taters, I didn't want or have room for all of them - especially since I knew I wanted a few in-season, farm-fresh strawberries, so I put a few of the potatoes back for leftovers. :)
This was a simple FAMILY PLEASING meal - nothing weird or "diety" here!!! EAT REAL FOOD, Y'all! ;)
