Services Provided:
Sky View Nursing Center provides 24-hour nursing services including Alzheimer’s/Dementia care. Our care staff includes Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Social Services and activities personnel. We also offer Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services. Our staff-to-resident ratio ensures that residents receive the attention and care

they need. From admission to discharge planning, we provide comprehensive care services that address each resident’s dietary, physical, emotional, and wellness needs. Upon admission, depending upon availability, you may have an option between a private or semi-private room. Most rooms have beautiful views of the grounds. Amenities:
Amenities include apartment style rooms, a beautiful dining room, outdoor patio area, and a spacious activity room. Residents living at Sky View Nursing Center enjoy delicious homemade meals and snacks. Special diets as prescribed by a physician are easily accommodated. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided daily. Social Activities:
Numerous activities such as bingo, church services, sing-a-longs and other special events provide life-enriching opportunities for those who call Sky View Nursing Center. Community volunteers are always welcome to assist with any of our many programs.

UP Rehab Services is excited to expand our Nursing Home Therapy Services as of February 1, 2026. We are now caring for patients at Villa Maria Health & Rehabilitation and Sky View Nursing Center located in Iron County. We look forward to caring for their patients and supporting their communities.
Here is our team taking a break on the first day as they are working through the transition of patients and new systems. Thank you to everyone for working together to make the first day a huge success!

February 2026 is CTE Month in Wisconsin. Throughout the month, we will feature our Youth Apprenticeship Students and employers.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs provide the hands-on skills needed for high-demand careers. Wisconsin’s Youth Apprenticeship program is reaching record highs—supporting over 11,000 students and 7,000 employers across the state.

By connecting classroom learning with real-world experience, we are ensuring our workforce remains skilled, competitive, and ready for the jobs of tomorrow.

It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of one of our beloved nurses, Jessica. Jessica was a valued member of our Sky View family, known for her compassion, dedication, and the genuine care she showed to every resident, family member, and coworker she encountered.

Jessica’s kindness, warm heart, and commitment to nursing made a difference in countless lives. She was more than a nurse—she was a comfort, a support, and a friend. Her absence will be deeply felt by all of us, but the impact she made through her care and service will never be forgotten.

We ask that you keep Jessica’s family, loved ones, and our entire team in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. 🤍

Last week was filled with Christmas cheer as our residents enjoyed a variety of fun holiday activities! From festive crafts and music to laughter, smiles, and sweet treats, the spirit of the season was truly alive.

We were especially grateful for the amazing volunteers who spent their time spreading joy, kindness, and companionship. Your generosity and warm hearts made this Christmas season extra special for our residents ❤️

Even with the heavy snow and difficult travel conditions, our staff still made it in today—ready to work, support one another, and keep things running smoothly. Your dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude never go unnoticed.
We appreciate each and every one of you for going the extra mile (literally!) to ensure we could continue serving our residents. Thank you for your commitment and for showing what true teamwork looks like.

The Hurley warming shelter is closing due to low usage, but staff are available to reopen it if needed. If you or anyone you know needs to utilize the shelter or requires transportation to the shelter, please call 911 for assistance.

Update 5:20PM

The Hurley Senior Center and the Mercer Community Center will remain open through the night. If you need help getting to these shelters, call 911 and we will assist you.
Travel is not advised, as snow plows will be pulled for the night in the next few hours.
