Last week was filled with Christmas cheer as our residents enjoyed a variety of fun holiday activities! From festive crafts and music to laughter, smiles, and sweet treats, the spirit of the season was truly alive.

We were especially grateful for the amazing volunteers who spent their time spreading joy, kindness, and companionship. Your generosity and warm hearts made this Christmas season extra special for our residents ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make these moments so meaningful. We loved celebrating the holidays together and creating memories that will last all year long! 🎅🎁

Even with the heavy snow and difficult travel conditions, our staff still made it in today—ready to work, support one another, and keep things running smoothly. Your dedication, teamwork, and positive attitude never go unnoticed.
We appreciate each and every one of you for going the extra mile (literally!) to ensure we could continue serving our residents. Thank you for your commitment and for showing what true teamwork looks like.

The Hurley warming shelter is closing due to low usage, but staff are available to reopen it if needed. If you or anyone you know needs to utilize the shelter or requires transportation to the shelter, please call 911 for assistance.

Update 5:20PM

The Hurley Senior Center and the Mercer Community Center will remain open through the night. If you need help getting to these shelters, call 911 and we will assist you.
Travel is not advised, as snow plows will be pulled for the night in the next few hours.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency or need assistance, call 911.
Travel is still not advised due to conditions, but we understand that with ongoing power outages, some residents may have concerns about staying warm and accessing food or water. If you must travel, please use extreme caution.

One of our very own, Tim Brown, received “A Quilt of Valor” from the Superior Quilts of Valor Foundation for his years of service in the United States Army.

Sgt Timothy Brown proudly served in the Korean War from January 1958-November 1959
