Taking Back Ohio was started by a few close friends in recovery at the Sandusky Artisans Recovery Community Center in 2014 and welcomes anyone and everyone seeking Recovery from Mental Health challenges or substance use disorder as well as any supporters. This meeting is unlike any other recovery meeting that you have ever gone to!
>Taking Back Ohio is not a twelve-step meeting, nor is it faith based. We welcome those utilizing MAT as a way of achieving Recovery from SUD and all pathways to Recovery. The group chose for the meeting to be like this so that anyone from the outside who had skepticism or fear related to going to a recovery meeting would feel open to try this out! Another Taking Back Ohio meeting… another powerful recovery milestone! 👊

At last Tuesdays TBO meeting at the Oak House in Port Clinton, we had the honor of celebrating Ashley and her latest milestone in recovery.

Ashley has taken back 90 days of her life!

That’s three months of courage, commitment, and choosing recovery one day at a time. And if you know anything about recovery, you know those first 90 days can be some of the most challenging — and most important.

Moments like this are why we do what we do.

Recovery happens when people come together, support one another, and celebrate every victory along the way.

Ashley — we are incredibly proud of you and grateful you’re part of this community.

Help us celebrate Ashley’s 90 days by dropping a 👊, ❤️, or words of encouragement in the comments! 👇

Another Taking Back Ohio meeting… and another life being taken back. 👊

On Tuesday night at our TBO All-Pathways Recovery Meeting at the Oak House in Port Clinton, we had the honor of celebrating June and her 90 days of continuous recovery.

That’s 90 days of courage.
90 days of showing up.
90 days of choosing a new life.

Recovery isn’t easy. Some days it’s messy. Some days it’s hard. But moments like this remind us why we do what we do — because people recover, and when they do, the whole community gets stronger.

The hug you see in this photo says it all.
Connection. Support. Hope.

June didn’t just reach a milestone…
She took back 90 days of her life.

👉Let’s show June some serious love in the comments and celebrate this incredible accomplishment! 👇🔥

Last night’s Taking Back Ohio meeting at the (Erie County Health Department Detox Conference Center) was one of those nights that reminds us why this community matters so much. 👊

We celebrated recovery milestones…
We shared honestly…
We laughed…
We connected…
and we spent some time de-stressing with (Bubba), who was doing what he does best — bringing calm and smiles to the room. 🐾

Watching people show up for one another like this never gets old. People from all walks of life, all different paths of recovery, coming together to support each other and remind one another that none of us have to do this alone anymore.

This is what recovery community looks like.

If you’ve ever been part of a Taking Back Ohio meeting — even just once — drop a comment or a 👊 below and tell us what you appreciate most about this community.

👉Your words might be exactly what someone needs to see today. 👊
