1. How long have you worked for Independent Health Solutions?
It will be 9 years in February.
2. What is your favorite thing about working for IHS?
Taking clients out for drives, shopping or just spending time with them and listening to their stories from when they were younger. Working as a team and having a good time doing it.
3. What is the best career lesson you have learned so far?
Don't take anything for granted, be the best you can be.
4. What do you like to do outside of work?
Spending time with family and friends. Shopping for good deals.
5. What 3 words describe you?
Kind, caring/loving, hard working.
6. What is your motto or personal mantra?
Never stop learning cause life never stops teaching.
7. What's a fun fact about you that most people don't know?
Grew up on a farm in a small town, living life to the fullest.
8. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Hawaii, to swim with the dolphins.
9. What is your favorite family tradition?
4th of July and getting together for fireworks. And Christmas morning. Playing cards or games on weekends and in the evenings as a family.
10. Who inspired you the most?
My Grandma Fox - can learn from everything you do and was always there when I needed her.

Protecting the Gift of Sight 👁️🧡

Did you know…? 👀
• Nearly one in three adults over 65 experience vision problems.
• Many seniors have undiagnosed vision issues, which can affect balance, mobility, and independence.
• Poor eyesight increases fall risk; a leading cause of injury for older adults.

During Gift of Sight Month, we're reminded to prioritize eye health. Regular eye exams, proper lighting, and home safety adjustments can make a huge difference in keeping seniors safe, confident, and connected to their loved ones. 🏡✨

At IHS, our caregivers help patients daily, assisting with routines, mobility, and medication; while keeping an eye on safety. Healthy vision supports independence, safety, and quality of life. 🧡

🎥 Behind the Scenes: Packing for the United Way Backpack Program! 🩵🧡

We had a wonderful time yesterday putting together food baskets for students in need through the United Way Heartland Region Backpack Program.

Our team made it fun with a friendly contest, and thanks to everyone’s hard work, we packed 22 baskets to help local elementary students enjoy healthy meals.

We’re proud to support this program and grateful to United Way for helping make it possible. Every basket makes a difference in a child’s life.

🎒 Giving Back with Heart. Support the United Way Backpack Program 🩵🧡

Yesterday, our IHS team came together to assemble food baskets for students in need through the United Way Heartland Region Backpack Program. We turned our work into a friendly contest! And had lots of fun while giving back.

Thanks to everyone's help, we packed 22 baskets full of nutritious, simple‑serve food items to be delivered to local elementary schools for distribution to kids who benefit from supplemental weekend meals.

Every year, thousands of emergency visits are linked to gifts that weren’t age-appropriate or didn’t meet safety guidelines. 😞

National Safe Toys & Gifts Month reminds us how important it is to choose wisely; especially when gifts are going to homes with older adults, young children or medically vulnerable family members.

At IHS, we care for patients in the comfort of their homes, and that includes looking out for the safety of their environment. During the holiday season, simple choices can make a big difference: avoiding tripping hazards, selecting noise-appropriate items, choosing non-toxic materials, and ensuring gifts don’t interfere with medical equipment or mobility aids. 🎄✨
