Active Medical LLC is an established and growing durable medical equipment (DME) company searching for a motivated and dynamic entry level or early career individual wanting to develop or expand their experience and expertise supporting the Revenue Cycle in a medical office specializing in DME. We are searching for an individual with demonstrated proficiency in health insurance billing, appeal, and claim collections to support our revenue cycle team.
Responsibilities include:
• Billing of claims for various DME.
• Working directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and patient to get a claim processed and paid.
• Reviewing and appealing of unpaid and denied claims to medical insurance carriers including both private and governmental payers.
• Performing and documenting comprehensive follow-up activities that facilitate collections.
Qualifications Include:
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Durable Medical Equipment (DME) experience a plus.
• Understanding of medical terminology, claims processing guidelines, and federal insurance regulations including Medicare and Medicaid a plus.
• Experience with medical billing preferred.
• Knowledge of electronic billing and navigational ability through a clearinghouse and other services a plus.
• Experience with Brightree medical billing software a plus.
• Experience with or desire to learn the entire medical claims revenue cycle.
• Ability to work within a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management, decision making, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must have strong computer skills
• Ability to implement and/or handle change within a team environment in a beneficial and constructive manner.
