At Hutchinson Health Foundation, community-first partnerships and donor-powered investments are creating the future of health care, right here in our own backyard. We make grants to organizations in Hutchinson, Dassel, Cokato, Buffalo Lake, Hector, Stewart and other nearby towns to help power local health care initiatives. We work closely with our friends at Hutchinson Health to improve patient experiences, fund new equipment and education, and help address unmet needs. 🌱 $3,500 Grant Awarded to Hutchinson Public Schools Farm to School Program!

This grant funded the purchase of a high tunnel structure at the District’s Farm to School Garden and FFA Test Plot. This new structure will allow the program to diversify crops and improve the quality of those sensitive to field production.

The Farm to School Program, which began in 2021, introduces students to fresh, whole ingredients and increases participation in the school lunch program. The program feeds all students who participate in school breakfast and lunch throughout the year, with approximately 2,000 lunches served daily. The summer feeding program also serves 3,000 meals weekly.

The garden provides students with opportunities to expand food literacy, explore agriculture, and develop a sense of community within the school district. 🌽🥕

This $5,950 grant funded the purchase of an AccuVein Vein Finder system for Hutchinson Health's CT and MRI exams. The device helps staff locate veins more accurately, reducing delays in care, improving training for new staff, and creating a better patient experience with fewer IV attempts.

New tools for stronger recoveries.

A $2,611 grant funded the purchase of a Matrix Versa Leg Extension/Curl machine for Hutchinson Health's Orthopedic & Rehabilitation Clinic. This updated equipment enables safer, more effective rehab, helping patients reduce pain, rebuild strength, and recover healthy function more quickly.
