"People look at me some sort of way when I say I get a massage at least once a month — so let’s clear something up.

Massage is healthcare. Period.

It regulates the nervous system.
It lowers stress hormones.
It improves circulation and lymphatic flow.
It reduces chronic tension before it becomes chronic pain.
It supports sleep, digestion, hormones, posture, and mental clarity.

Most of what we’re walking around calling “normal” — tight shoulders, jaw pain, headaches, poor sleep, burnout — is a body that hasn’t been given a chance to release.

Touch is a biological need, not a luxury.
Maintenance is smarter than crisis care.
Prevention is still healthcare.

I don’t wait until my body is screaming to listen.
I don’t believe care has to hurt to count.
And I refuse to treat regulation like an indulgence.

Luxury is excess.
Massage is maintenance.

Treat yourself like someone you love — because that is healthcare.

I do not pay for or carry health insurance the way most people do. Massage is my assurance that my body can heal itself if I take care of her.

Hello everyone.......if this past year has taught me anything it's to be present/aware of my body's capabilities and let go of trying to control everything, on my time.
Previously I had planned to re-open and continue providing massage/spa services but the reality for me is that I just can't.
Last Fall I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that is severely debilitating at times. Walking and using my hands have too often become difficult.
That being said, Relax And Restore is permanently closing. This has not been an easy decision to make, AT ALL....in fact, it has been like mourning the death of a loved one.
I want to thank all of you for helping me fulfill my dream of creating a relaxing & beautiful space where I could share my knowledge and skills. Helping people feel better and witnessing the body's amazing ability to heal has always been my favorite part of being a Massage Therapist.

As of May 1, 2023..Relax & Restore LLC will be permanently closed. 😞

Hello, my name is Melissa. I have been a Massage Therapist since 2009. Over this duration I have been providing different types of massage therapy to my clients, while also taking every chance to study and improve upon my craft. I feel blessed to have the abilities to help people feel better and do so passionately.

Located in Hutchinson, KS. I opened Relax and Restore in June 2018, dedicated to providing an environment focused on individualized care while maintaining a place all my clients can feel comfortable.
