👏👏APPRECIATION POST👏👏 (Worth the Read!)
On the evening of Saturday, January 24, The Wesley experienced a rupture in a main water line located six feet underground. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the many companies and individuals who stepped in and helped us through this unexpected situation.
Mark Maness and others at the City of Hutchinson were quick to respond and promptly shut the water off. A crew from ServiceMaster arrived immediately to begin cleanup efforts. Nathan McClanahan and the team at the Hilton Garden Inn generously offered to accommodate displaced residents on very short notice. Josh Barkley and his crew at Barkley Plumbing worked diligently throughout Sunday to restore water service. Marvin Schwein and the crew from Concrete Plus worked us into their schedule to replace the flooring that had to be removed to access the leak.
Several of our own employees also went above and beyond. Ken and the maintenance crew alongside Mark and the grounds crew coordinated and directed the various teams assisting on site. Weston and Aaron from Housekeeping Support jumped right in with water removal and supply distribution. Toni, Jennifer, and Sharla from the Front Desk, came in to personally make phone calls to all affected residents and families. Life Enrichment Director, Karen, assisted by transporting residents to the Hilton. Nabeel Khokhar, our COO, was on site throughout the entire ordeal, overseeing and managing the process from start to finish. We couldn’t possibly mention everyone by name, so thank you to EVERYONE. 🙏🫶🏻👏🏻
Finally, we want to thank our wonderful residents (more than 80 of them) who were without water for 24 hours and handled the inconvenience in stride with a smile.
When we say “Our People Make the Difference,” this is exactly what we mean. These are OUR PEOPLE.
Thank you all. 🙏
