Harbor Community Health Center- Hyannis welcomed State Senator Julian Cyr for a visit this week! During his visit, Senator Cyr spoke with our medical, behavioral health, and dental care teams to learn more about their work with patients and what they see as important needs in the community. Harbor Health is excited to be a part of the upcoming Multilingual Learner Parent Advisory Council (MLPAC) Community Resources Fair on Monday, March 23 from 6:00-7:30 pm in the D-Y High School Library!! Sixty years ago, Dr. Jack Geiger and Dr. Count Gibson opened the Columbia Point Health Center, now Harbor Health's Geiger Gibson Community Health Center. It was the first community health center in the country, built on the belief that better healthcare access could help communities overcome poverty and gain greater voice in their own wellbeing.

Harbor Health’s CEO Susan Yee and Board of Directors member Mike Mecenas joined leaders from our fellow Massachusetts community health centers on visits to U.S. Representative Bill Keating and Representative Stephen F. Lynch to thank them for their on-going advocacy and support for local healthcare access. The visits were part of the National Association of Community Health Centers' Policy and Issues Forum this week in Washington D.C., which included a 60th anniversary gala celebrating the opening of the first community health centers in the country, Geiger Gibson Community Health Center and Delta Health Center. Susan was also a featured speaker at the gala!

Preparing for the winter storm? Remember to pick up your prescription refills! The pharmacy at Harbor Community Health Center - Hyannis is open on Saturdays, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, and Sundays, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. And we will be open regular business hours on Sunday, January 25!!

ATTENTION PATIENTS!! Harbor Community Health Center - Hyannis offers same-day appointments for our patients when you are sick and need to see your provider. Call the health center at (508) 778-5420 to make an appointment! We also have a pharmacy right at the health center so you can pick up any prescriptions you need in the same place, no need to make an extra stop.
