Gloria’s Pavilion Rehab Story 💙

“Physical therapists helped me reach my goal—to walk using my walker. It was a challenge. As an amputee with a prosthesis, I surprised myself with how far I was able to walk as we went further and further each session. The therapists were so encouraging.

Occupational therapy also made a huge difference—helping me relearn everyday tasks like washing up and combing my hair.”

When asked if she’d return to Pavilion for rehab again:
“YES! I didn’t have to think twice. The therapists, CNAs, and nurses made my choice easy.”

Success Story at The Pavilion!

“For me it’s all about attitude. The staff is professional in their specialty field whether it be Physical or Occupational Therapy. Marge (OT) has shown a unique ability to create a relationship with a patient leading to a faster recovery. Sam (PT) is the ultimate trainer! She knows how to get the patient to give maximum effort. She also knows when to ‘back off.’ It is obvious that both of these women take their vocation very seriously to benefit their patient. These women succeeded in my recovery process. Should I need rehabilitation at any time, I would definitely return to the Pavilion!”

To the Pavilion Staff:

I wanted to take a moment to share my gratitude and thanks for the wonderful care and assistance you provided to my wife, Jane. This has been, of course, a very difficult time for me - Jane and I have been married for over 55 years and I have never spent more than a couple of nights away from her. However, knowing she was in such caring, supportive, and professional hands has made this whole experience so much more manageable. All the staff have been incredible, the CNAs, RNs, PTs and OTs, Dr. B, Jacqueline and Lucy, Rebecca and Solange, Becky the dieticians, M.J., Norma and everyone else have been so warm and kind, showing up every day with a big smile even though you all do the most difficult of jobs. Thank you for understanding how important it is to families to know and feel that their loved one is in a safe place with people who care. Jane received excellent care while at the Pavilion and my family and I are incredibly grateful for everything you have done; we truly thank you.

BreatheWell + GracefulMotion = Success at The Pavilion!

After a hospital stay for congestive heart failure, Tom came to The Pavilion needing help with all mobility and daily tasks. With the support of our BreatheWell Pulmonary Program and GracefulMotion movement program, he built his strength, improved his breathing, and got back to doing things on his own. Today, Tom is home—strong, independent, and grateful.

Halloween Boxing at The Pavilion!

Our therapy team put a spooky twist on fitness with a Halloween-themed Boxing Group! Staff and patients showed up in costume spirit, gloves on and smiles all around, proving that rehab can be fun, festive, and fierce—all at the same time.

Nothing like a little “BOO-xing” to build strength, balance, and lots of laughter!

Fall Prevention Friday at The Pavilion!

Our amazing therapy team got creative with a Fall Prevention Friday group—complete with a festive fall and Halloween theme!

Residents had a blast working on balance, strength, and safety exercises while enjoying plenty of laughs and seasonal fun. It’s all about staying strong, confident, and fall-free this autumn!

“What made your rehab stay a success?

I have had spinal fusions two times before. Both other times, the PT’s and OT’s were very aggressive in forcing my therapy. When I was released I felt like I was not ready and barely able to walk. Here at The Pavilion, Samantha, Brenda, Stacey and Marge started me off slowly and made sure that I progressed at my own comfortable pace while at the same time pushed me forward with my efforts to progress in my strength and build upon my body’s efforts. Samantha was especially instrumental in my effort to hold my posture while doing the exercises and building strength in walking up and down the full set of stairs, which is, or should I say WAS my biggest fear going home.

Would you return to us if you needed rehab again?

I would and will definitely return to The Pavilion for any therapy needs in my future. The staff is the most attentive, professional and caring that I have experienced compared to the other three rehab centers that I have been in… Overall the best experience I have had in a rehab facility and I will definitely recommend it to all my friends and relatives.
