🌟𝐈𝐝𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥🌟

The Ida County Community Preschool is a FREE preschool program for 3 & 4 year old children, designed to support the whole child and their family.

The program provides:
✔️ Educational activities
✔️ Medical and dental support
✔️ Healthy meals and snacks
✔️ Services for children with special needs or disabilities
✔️ Family support and social service resources

Our goal is to serve children within the 130% poverty guidelines; however, up to eight children may be enrolled from over-income households. Children who receive Supplemental Social Security (SSI), FIP, are in foster care, or are considered homeless automatically qualify for services regardless of income.

📝 Applications are accepted year-round.

📌 To apply, you will need:
• Child’s birth certificate or proof of birthday
• Immunization record
• Last year’s taxes or income from the last 12 months

On November 2, 2025, Bomgaars hosted a night of festive fun and fall shopping exclusively for women during its annual “Ladies Night” event. This special evening supports local cancer centers and hospitals while raising awareness of women’s health issues.

This year, the MAPLETON Bomgaars contributed $456.32 to Horn Memorial Hospital in support of women’s health services. Bomgaars continues to be a consistent and generous partner to Horn Memorial Hospital, and we are truly grateful for their ongoing commitment.

Pictured with our CPR manikins and AEDs are staff members from Parks Family Dentistry, along with one team member from Koelling Dental in Kingsley, who recently renewed their BLS Provider certifications at Horn Memorial Hospital. Training was led by our education nurse, Angie Frank. Horn Memorial is proud to support our local healthcare partners in keeping lifesaving skills up to date!

Two of our HPC staff, who are currently in CMA school, along with our new Lab Tech, have been busy practicing their CPR skills as they work toward their New Provider BLS certification.
