What is Stewards of Children?

Stewards of Children is a prevention training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for organizations that serve youth and for individuals concerned about the safety of children. It is the only nationally distributed, evidence based program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors.

Seek Then Speak offers sexual assault survivors and support people a way to privately gather information and explore options for medical care, supportive services, and reporting to police (SEEK). If they choose, survivors can then begin the process of reporting to police by completing a detailed, self-guided interview (SPEAK).

As a parent, it can often be scary to address the topic of sexual abuse with your child. However, children need to be taught about personal (sexual) safety as openly as they are taught about road safety and water
safety. This coloring book is a wonderful starting point.
