At Keesler Air-force and about 7 years ago, I was trained to a therapy treatment known as *Dry Needling*. Since that time, the research supporting its use and ways to apply this tool has jumped!
The first time I saw this treatment used was on an officer who was injured during a sport off base. The Air-force officer reported being at a consent pain intensity for 2 days of 10/10 without changes in pain. An ER visit and seeing her primary physician resulted in no change to her pain. After one visit using Dry Needling, the pain was gone.
I have had a great experience to continue my training and be certified in this treatment though American Academy of Manipulation Therapy.
This form of treatment has been used to address:
headache
migraines
jaw pain
tennis elbow
golfers elbow
back pain
neck pain
carpel tunnel
osteoarthritis
shin splints
plantar fasciitis
shoulder impingement
If you are dealing with one of these conditions, consider coming into Strider Physical Therapy for your treatment today.
I am across the street from the ERMC Hospital and share an office with Rindfleisch Family Practice.
