The retina is one of the most important parts of the eye. It captures light and sends signals to your brain, turning what you see into clear, detailed images. Caring for the retina requires a high level of skill and expertise, and that’s where our team stands out. 👁️
At Premier Eye Care, we’re proud to have three fellowship-trained retina specialists: Dr. Alex Wright, Dr. Clinton Ellingson, and Dr. Kyle Thompson, providing advanced care for patients across Eastern Idaho and the surrounding regions.
From macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy to retinal tears and detachments, our specialists offer the highest standard of diagnosis, treatment, and surgical precision.

Wellness Wednesday: Keep Your Eyes Comfortable This Fall 🍂
As the air gets drier indoors, eyes can feel irritated. Try these quick fixes:
• Sip water regularly.
• Run a humidifier (aim for ~30–50% indoor humidity).
• Follow the 20‑20‑20 rule for screen time.
• Use your lubricating (artificial tear) drops as directed; if you need them often, pick preservative‑free—and skip “redness‑relief” drops.
If you have persistent symptoms, pain, light sensitivity, or vision changes, get checked by an eye‑care professional.

💡 Wellness Wednesday Tip: Read and Work in Good Lighting 📖

When your eyes are forced to focus in dim light, they work harder than they need to. This can leave you with eye strain, fatigue, or even headaches by the end of the day.

Choosing bright, comfortable lighting makes everyday tasks like reading, studying, and working much easier on your vision.

At Premier Eye Care of Eastern Idaho, we’re here when you need specialized care—whether it’s advanced treatment, surgery, or answering your questions about long-term vision health. 👁️

💧 Wellness Wednesday Tip: Stay Hydrated for Healthy Eyes

Water isn’t just good for your body—it’s essential for your eyes, too! Dehydration can cause dryness, irritation, and even blurry vision. Staying hydrated helps your eyes produce tears and stay comfortable all day long.

💡 Tip: Aim for about 8 glasses of water daily, and keep a water bottle handy as a simple reminder to sip often.

If dryness continues even with good hydration, our team can help with personalized treatment options.
