Like many of the projects we end up getting involved in, the DSPs Doing Good food pantry was born from our deep-seated belief that community is the most important and valuable thing we have. We get by with a little help from our friends. When things go wrong (as they undoubtedly do) sometimes all we have left is each other.
Together we have been able to help stabilize 25 families who were affected by the EBT delays and create an additional 47 Thanksgiving boxes for additional people in need.
Thank you to our generous sponsors who have recognized the need and rolled up their sleeves to help us support our people during the government shutdown:
William D Benkula Foundation
Managed Health
Paylocity
Idahoan Foods
Gem State Developmental Center
Culver's
Degolia Johnson
and the many many DSP volunteers from several agencies around the state who allowed us to use their spaces and their resources to get the food into the hands of those who needed it
As we wrap up this few weeks, we want to make sure that all the people involved in this project who spent time, money and effort don’t go unnoticed. Thank you all for joining us in the cause of doing good just for the sake of doing good.
