With significant symptoms of concern, several blood tests and anticipation, the doctors confirmed that Baylor would start her journey with leukemia.

Hi everyone ☀️☀️☀️☀️

This big girl had her first follow up without her port today and to no one’s surprise…. She rocked it!!!!! She disnt even cry getting her blood drawn! She’s a champ 💪🏻 oh and her blood work results were PERFECT!!!!!! Everything is within a ”normal” healthy range! Thank you everyone for your prayers and support! ♥️

Baylor got the BEST late birthday surprise from all of her oncology staff besties🎗🤍 she felt so special! Her check up went great🙏🏻 there’s only one more lumbar puncture and 50 more days of chemo left and this girl can claim her victory over cancer!!!💪🏻 you’ve got this tough girl!!!!!!

It’s lumbar puncture day💪🏻 after today we only have ONE more🙏🏻 I feel like we’ve reached a state of normalcy with all of her treatments that I can’t even picture a boring life but I know we can’t wait!! Baylor girl we are almost there! God thank you for protecting our girl and keeping her so strong! Please be with her lumbar puncture team today!

We still aren’t 100% by any means, but today we got to help Dad with a little yard work!! And by help I mean wear the gloves and get right under his feet🤣 you could tell she was just happy to be outside! She never ceases to amaze me with how well she handles all of her treatments. She’s getting over a nasty virus, she’s gotten 3 different types of chemo and she started steroids! Needless to say she’s been a little bit of a sour patch kid today but I can’t blame her! She’s a trooper 💪🏻 thank you all so much for lifting her up in prayer!

🤍update🤍

We had such a whirlwind of a morning!! Bay had a restless night so she slept until almost 9🙌🏻 when she woke up she was not in the best mood but in her defense we’ve been messing with her all morning! She got her nasal cannula off and got a much needed quick bath!!! Her physicians decided to go ahead and do the procedure this morning and so far Baylor is doing great!

Major prayer for the day: we pray that as she wakes up from anesthesia she doesn’t skip a beat! We were off of oxygen completely and we’d like to stay that way!! We pray that all of the chemo she got today doesn’t phase her too much! We just hope she wakes up just as good as when she went to sleep ♥️ Lord please be with this little body and help her keep fighting off this nasty virus!!!! Fill her lungs for her when she wakes up 🙏🏻

Day 5……….

Well last night around 8 after such a good day Bay spiked a fever yet again🤦🏼‍♀️ but thankfully we knocked it out quick in order for her to sleep like a champ when she finally fell asleep at 1am🤪 today started off a little slow so it made me a little nervous for the day but we finally perked up this afternoon!! Baylor has been more her goofy self today than ever! She has been playing, laughing and flopping all over the bed which is what we are used to🙌🏻🙌🏻 she has eaten just about everything in site!! She has been off of oxygen for the majority of the day and has maintained levels of 88% - 94% so she’s a little all over the place but at least we know she’s improving!!

The prayer for tonight is for tomorrow!! Baylor was originally scheduled for her lumbar puncture/chemo tomorrow with her oncologist but with all of this going on we weren’t sure if she’d still be able to get it, or if she even should. The anesthesiologist that will be sedating her was supposed to come assess her today but did not make it by. We are trusting the fact that they will be reviewing her chart thoroughly before the procedure. The plan is to go ahead and proceed as long as they feel like she can handle it.

Lord we put this matter in your hands🙌🏻 only you know what her little body can handle because I am torn. I just pray that we haven’t made all of this progress just to be knocked right back down🤦🏼‍♀️ she will get the lumbar puncture along with chemo through her port and in her spine. Lord please be with her physicians and nurses as they make this decision tomorrow! We know that everyone has Baylor’s best interest at heart🤍
