What an incredible weekend of JC training! We had so much fun and were truly encouraged by this group. It’s always inspiring to see young people who genuinely want to serve + grow. Our ministry wouldn’t be what it is without them. Thank you all for the laughs, the hard work, and the great memories!!

Annual camper picnic 2025! ☀️
Such a fun Saturday with our campers! Crafts, baseball, volleyball, good food, and laughter. So thankful for these moments together. Big thanks to our rockstar counselors + JC’s. We couldn’t do it without you!

Our full time staff spent the weekend at Bass Lake/Yosemite for our annual staff retreat! So thankful for the generous person who opened up her Airbnb to us. Such a meaningful + refreshing time together! 💛

✨ Big update! ✨
Our banquet will now be held at Impact Church in Menifee. Due to the recent storm, parts of Highway 38 were washed out. While we’re saddened by the location change, we’re beyond grateful that this amazing church has opened its doors to us at the last minute!

Our friends and volunteers hosted two amazing independent fundraisers for Camp Alandale this year!

👕 Rummage sale at raised $3,500

🏃🏽‍♀️ 5K Run/Walk hosted by one of our counselors raised $1,500

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to Camp Alandale full-time staff 🎉
Bailee and Weston Votaw will be filling the role of Program Directors for the ministry, managing off-season tasks, and directing camps alongside Tyler and Irene Bernheisel, Executive Directors. 

Their addition comes at the perfect time as we move foward with the new property and look toward future expansion. This ministry was always designed to run with two director couples at the helm. This allows us to effectively double the amount of summer and winter camps, and reach significantly more campers with the gospel. Moving into 2026, the Votaws will alternate directing weeks with the Bernheisels, and work on program management in the off-season.

We are incredibly grateful for their passion to serve, and the Lord’s guidance and provision. Join us in welcoming them to the Camp Alandale family! 💛

And just like that, summer season has drawn to a close. Our last week was filled with stories of hope, healing, faith, and family. What a gift it is to love these children and introduce them to the love of God.

It was an unforgettable summer! We thank the Lord for His provision and kindness every step of the way 🙏

High school camp was such a joy! Many of these campers have been a part of the camp family since elementary school, and it’s a privilege to walk with them on their faith journeys. We love the togetherness and unique conversations they bring ❤️

Camp 3 was filled with laughter, lizard hunting, river exploration, family time, and special conversations. We’re in awe of these campers and all the joy they bring.

This week we heard, “I feel like I belong here!” and “it’s fun to learn about God!” along with many other sweet sayings from campers. We pray that the word of God takes root in their hearts and grows into wholehearted faith as they return home.🌲
