For the past two weeks, our clinic has enjoyed having Natalie join our Doctors and staff on one of her 4th year veterinary school rotations!

We are honored to have a strong relationship with Iowa State University as a recommended veterinary practice for 4th year students to visit and gain valuable experience!

It was great having you, Natalie, and good luck with your future endeavors!

We’d like to give a shout out to our office manager, Janelle Kerchal!

Janelle does an amazing job managing our staff and inventory at the clinic!

She oversees our staff with scheduling, hiring and assisting with some of the business management responsibilities.

Janelle is constantly keeping up to date on price changes from our suppliers - especially at the beginning of the year!

It’s a never ending job keeping track of all the products that are on backorder, ordering products daily, sending products back, placing special orders, unpacking inventory and restocking our shelves.

But it’s a very important job to ensure we are taking care of our clients and have the products you need when you walk in the door!

Honoring a Legacy of Service: IPD K9 Officer Jago Retires After Years of Distinguished Duty

It is with great pride that we announce the retirement of IPD K9 Officer Jago.

K9 Jago has faithfully served in law enforcement since September 2016. He began his career in Colby, Kansas, working with a previous handler before transferring to Officer Bustillos in February 2018.

Throughout his distinguished career, Jago successfully achieved multiple state certifications across three states: Texas, Kansas, and Nebraska.
Jago joined the Imperial Police Department in July 2021, where he was immediately welcomed with open arms—and the best belly rubs a K9 could ask for. His dedication, skill, and loyalty have left a lasting impact on our department and community.

As Jago enters this next chapter of his life, he will enjoy a well-earned retirement filled with extra belly rubs, treats, and vacations.

A retirement celebration will be held in Jago’s honor on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Imperial Police Department. Please stop by to wish him well and say goodbye one last time.

• Favorite Hobbies: Seizing illegal narcotics, receiving belly rubs, and wrestling with his brothers
