For those of you who have asked us how to measure for blankets. Remember, if you are using blankets you need to check them weekly for rub spots and take the blanket off to check your horses weight.

Never use a blanket not labeled "waterproof" for turnout time as a blanket that gets wet or leaks and then makes your horse wet in cold temps cab be deadly.

Hi fans, it's me Jake Fiddy.. I've been here at Black Star for 10 days now and I'm feeling much better.

I've been spending alot of time eating, and watching all the other horses.

I really would love some hay that I see them eat, but when I came back to Heart of Phoenix Equine Rescue, INC my teeth were in awful shape, and I just can't chew it even though I've really tried.

So, they have been feeding me chopped alfalfa here. Would anyone like to help HOP out and send me a few bags? My eyes light up when I hear them start filling up my feed pan.

They tell me I'll be up to my fighting weight in no time thanks to the great feed from BUCKEYE Nutrition and a special thanks to Lilly Ehrman for helping find a grain I like and can make the most use of.
