After 5 days of bitter temps and 3 nights of negative temps, our frost free went from a water dispenser to a ice cube. Thank goodness for propane torches!

Stewart is annoyed to say the least that we are hearing whispers of more snow this weekend. He hopes someone in a very warm state adopts him soon through Kentucky Humane Society Equine CARE so he can be a companion horse sitting beachside working on a tan and cat calling to younger mares!

On this crummy winter day, tell us when your love of horses started, and when you got your first horse. For barn owner Craig Shaffer he always loved horses but was in his 40's before he had the chance to own his first one. Brittaney Bragg loved horses since she could speak, and got her first pony at 9. Emma Shearer (pictured) has been around horses since she was a year old, and got her first pony at 3.

Fact- she requires weekly assessment of her weight, a dry lot in summer, soaked forage in the winter, and careful adjustments to a ration balancer.
