CAPACares

CAPACares provides services in three key areas: Counseling, Family Support Services, and Community Education.

Through CAPACares' comprehensive programs, we aim to promote healing from traumatic experiences, strengthen families, and create a safer Kansas City community for all. CAPACares provides individual and family counseling for adults and children who have experienced trauma. CAPACares' Healthy Families Jackson County (TM) program provides home visiting and family support services for pregnant moms an

d new parents with children up to age 3. CAPACares also provides educational services, including Parenting Education classes, Mandated Reporter Training, and community-based Prevention Education Outreach. Happy 25th CAPAversary, Mindy!

Since joining CAPACares as a home visitor in 2001, Mindy has been an integral part of our growth and a true embodiment of our mission. Over the past quarter century, she has led with heart, lifted up everyone around her, and made a lasting difference in the lives of the families and community we serve.

We got to surprise Mindy with a celebratory lunch earlier this week. The best part? Her family was able to join us! We took a trip down memory lane, with Mindy and other longtime colleagues sharing stories from throughout the years.

Warm, genuine, and with legendary fashion sense, Mindy is the kind of person who lights up every room she walks into. We are so grateful for her 25 years of dedication, compassion, and leadership. Here's to Mindy!

We had so much fun at HamBINGO at ! Our crowd was small but mighty; we had a blast and a lot of laughs while raising funds for our mission.

If you couldn't make it, you still have a chance to support us this month! We're hosting a Give Back Night at Pizza Hut on Truman Road tomorrow, Tuesday, April 14. Use code "U4" when you place your order online, over the phone, or in store.

CAPACares is proud to partner with Collective Action for Children, a coalition of child-serving organizations dedicated to protecting children and promoting their safety and well-being. Last year, The Collective served nearly 252,000 children and families in the Kansas City area!

All children deserve to be safe. Join us in this important movement to champion child safety and well-being and stand up for kids in Kansas City.

We're proud to partner with Independence School District, Raytown C-2 School District, and Fort Osage School District.

We know how busy life can be, and offering therapy in schools means you don't have to miss work or manage transportation, and a kid you love can get the support they need in a place they already know.
