Good evening! Steve Pringle with Diakonos Counseling. Please join me in 60 seconds of silent thought and prayer for the famies and friends of the 9 soldiers in Kentucky who died serving their country. Having been a military Chaplain for 23 years, I know the deep sadness and grieving they are all going through…………….As I have thought about and prayed for the families and friends who are experiencing such profound loss, my prayer has been, “Dear God, surround the families and friends with many selfless, caring, and supportive people.” Let me share some brief thoughts about unselfish people. They are generous with their time, possessions, energy and money. We will find thoughtfulness, gentleness, and an unpretentious spirit flowing from truly unselfish people. It all looks like this. An unselfish husband places his own wants and desires to meet the needs of his wife and family. An unselfish mother isn’t angry when she has to give up her agenda or plans for the sake of her children. When an athlete is unselfish, it is the team that matters, not top honors for themselves. When a soldier is unselfish, they serve their country while putting aside what they might like to do. In a culture which has become more selfish by the day, let us all become more and more UNSELFISH! May God raise up in America, a large Army of unselfish people to be there for the survivors of unexpected, unexplainable and unwanted tragedies! May you go to bed tonight genuinely wanting to be an UNSELFISH PERSON! God bless! Steve Pringle with Diakonos Counseling.

Good morning all! Steve Pringle with Diakonos Counseling. Today, I remember the families and friends who grieve the death of a loved one, especially when that loved one gave the supreme sacrifice as a soldier. As a 16 year old trumpet player in the high school band, I was asked by the local VFW to play taps at many funerals for soldiers who died in the Vietnam war. Those experiences of watching and listening to families grieve forever impacted my life. I later became a military Chaplain for 23 years comforting and working close and personal with military families when they grieved their loved ones. Freedom as we have know is costly, and certainly, not free. I call on all my fellow Americans to pray for those mourning and grieving today, especially pray for the families in Texas who suffer grief beyond description in the death of their children. Also pray for those leaders in our country who are willing to make the sacrifices needed and have the knowledge to know how to lead America back to health, wholeness, strength and genuine happiness. In God We Trust. May God bless America!

Good morning! This is Steve Pringle with Diakonos Counseling. When you watch and listen to people, you will see and hear a variety of things. I decided back in September to watch and listen to people around me more than usual throughout the coming Holidays. I have seen and heard a lot of joy and gratefulness. I have also noticed a lot of strain, stress and sadness in peoples faces and voices. I made a decision that when I see folks who are strained, stressed and sad, I would say and/or do something positive and meaningful to them. Join me in this effort to bring kindness and meaning into people’s lives…..it may be the best gift we could give to others. REMINDER…..I will resume brief Video Presentations on Thursday December 23 between 800 and 830 pm.

Welcome to December 2021! Steve Pringle here with Diakonos Counseling. I have taken a break from posting videos so I could think about, meditate on and pray concerning what would be most helpful to our followers during these unusual times. Since last posting I have taken the opportunity to get away to the mountains for some fun and personal retreat time. I will resume brief live posts on Thursday night December 23 between 800 and 830 pm. I will be sharing some of the thoughts and impressions I received while spending time in the mountains. We at Diakonos wish all of you the very best as we close 2021 and get ready to start 2022. Steve Pringle, President, Diakonos Counseling.
